Somewhat of a shocker to the entire scene, one of the world's best foreign Protoss players has left Quantic Gaming, requesting to be released from his contract permanently.

Although details are very vague at the moment, there has been a statement regarding this, but the reasoning behind this action has not yet surfaced. Rod over at GameSpot stated that he's gotten inside information on the ordeal and that will be released on GameSpot (obviously) tomorrow sometime. What he has confirmed though, is that SaSe will not be leaving Quantic Gaming alongside NaNiwa, but will remain in the org. Below is Quantic Gaming's statement on the matter:

Johan Lucchesi asked to be released from his contract today. Quantic has granted this request effective immediately. While we believe that Johan has thrived in his relationship with our family, we do not believe in holding players who no longer wish to be with us. We are grateful for the time he has spent with us and we are proud of the growth he has shown as a player and as a member of this community.
