We had written a piece about how badly the EG man Chris "HuK" Loranger had taken his latest defeat, crashing out in the first group stage of Assembly Summer, but we had still hoped to grab a few words with the player.
That was revealed not to be possible yesterday when we were informed that the player had taken the decision to immediately fly home the day after losing his games, not wanting to stick around at the tournament despite several EG players still being involved.
The decision had led to some speculation about the player's future as his rotten form since moving to Evil Geniuses continues with this fresh set of results being something of a low point in what had been a promising move.
Any speculation was quickly quelled by stable-mate Geoff "iNcontroL" Robinson, who is here on commentating duties, when he announced on air that HuK had been re-signed by the organisation, extending his contract even further, which shows that EG aren't giving up on their player yet.
However Chris was nowhere to be seen when the reveal was made, probably sitting up in the sky "enjoying" the dubious pleasures of airline food.
