The early lvl 1 is very much in favor of Curse with blitz and Alistar, they immediately go for Azubu's blue which is warded. The Koreans react by going mid and waiting for the Americans to rotate back, as Irelia engages it's Azubu who smells the first drops of blood but Curse takes a kill back. Azubu try and deny Vladimir from getting a good early game so he won't do much damage late but he's able to keep up. All though it's Azubu who's agressing it looks more like Curse is one step ahead of Azubu, the first team to really do so in this MLG summer arena. Some good ganks and teamplay from Curse's side, something they're criticized upon a lot, gives them a 7-3 kill score in their favor.
12 minutes in Azubu gank the bottom lane where both Cpt Jack and Pobelter were going head to head but it is Vladimir who easily wins the exchanges. the Korean AD Carry needed the help and because of Curse pushing top, taking 2 towers and another kill, Azubu is able to take a free dragon so they can close the gold gap a little bit. The first big engagement explodes in mid where Curse takes down the mid tower before they start bashing their keyboards. Curse comes out victorious 3 for 2 while the remaining 2 Koreans barely live to die another day. For the first time it's the mighty Azubu Blaze who everyone one thought would steam to an easy victory after the first day who has to wait it out and defend their towers.
Against a team as Curse is against you can't make any mistakes, when they do make one, they get punished severely. We see Cop and Elementz getting caught which gives Azubu only their 2nd tower of this game, a rare thing to say. All curse have to do now is for Elementz to land a grab, blowing up 1 player as quickly as possible. But the teamfights just show Azubu's exeptional skills to time some of their abilities to perfection. and thanks to that they're able to cling on with an amazing triple kill from Ambition who managed to run away with barely 100 hp. Next up is the Salsa around baron which Curse dominates. Elementz is able to zone Azubu long enough so they can take down the purple monster. the world war right after is another perfect combo of Helios and Lustboy which makes them win the exchange 4 for 3. The Koreans are not out yet and those little mistakes, those little details Curse don't have down might cost them this game.
Round 2 on the baron forces Azubu to go in, in a way they'd rather not have to, all though they get off the Lulu, Shyvana combo by that time Ambition was already dead and Curse had already taken the baron buff. They took the mid inhibitor off of that and the next objective for Curse was the last outer tower toplane. Again it's Curse who wins the teamfighting mostly thanks to Ambition totally missing his ultimate. A 2nd inhibitor is the result. Curse take a comfortable gold lead and the the last teamfight of game 2 looks like going even but suddenly every Korean player drops dead like a fly. Curse take game 2 in an impressive fashion. If you should've missed this game, it's definitely in my top5 of the best games i've seen. onto the last game to decide the winner of this series.
