Fnatic Lose Their Support
@ Scene news channel

Team Fnatic, most notably known for their dominance in season 1 and early season 2 lost another valuable teammate. Real life kicked in for their support player and thus they'll be on the search for someone to take the spot in botlane with Lamia.

It's the 2nd support in a short period of time that parts ways with Fnatic, only over a month back, Peter "Mellisan" Meisrimel left the team because he had to put a huge amount of work into his school, something which held him back in practicing with his League brethren. The change didn't really came as a surprise since he already got replaced in June for both MLG Anaheim and Dreamhack by Pheilox.

Mellisan's replacement was Fnatic 6th player at the time, Pheilox. The team was happy with his performances in the tournaments he fell in for and together with Paul "sOAZ" Boyer, they were finally looking and playing like contenders and defenders of the season 2 championship finals. However the fresh support player had already planned his wedding at a time where all teams are preparing for the upcoming regionals to qualify for the eventual ending of the 2nd season.

This isn't optimal for a name as Fnatic so both parties have decided to part ways. This won't be the end of Pheilox competitive career though, as you'll be able to read in his statement below he'll definitely be joining another team.

Patrick "Pheilox" Walpuski had this to say for Fnatic

I had a really nice time in FnaticRC and I'm really happy about the people I've met all over the world. But i've also missed my life at home and I have my own wedding at the end of August that I dont want to delay for playing computer games. I can understand that Fnatic can't handle a player that has important real life stuff and who can't go to a LAN event but my girlfriend (soon wife) is the only thing that is more important than Fnatic for me.

I know myself that I'm the safest support out there and that me with LaMia doesn't work that well since LaMia is also a safe player. I will start playing in an other competitive team for sure. Special thanks to my friends and my girlfriend that supported me also it was sometimes hard for them. And special thanks to the players Peke, Cyanide, sOAZ and LaMia.

The 4 who're on the look out for an invaluable support player:

Enrique "xPeke" Martinez - AP Carry
Lauri "Cyanide" Happonen - Jungler
Manuel "LaMia" Mildenberger - AD Carry
Paul "sOAZ" Boyer - Solo Top
