Another circuit event, the IPL Faceoff can be seen as an "inbetweener" before we get to IPL5. However the size won't be any different than the other events IPL has done. This is a circuit event which will be one of the last chances for the American teams to rack up some points before regionals.

The announcement of this event came quite surprisingly, but nonetheless everybody was happy. Teams who still need points to qualify for the season 2 championships have a shot at getting some while battling against top opposition such as TSM and the 2 Asian teams who flew over to America, Singapore Sentinels and World Elite. Both are a force to be reckoned with in their respectable scenes and it'll be quite interesting to see how the yanks will deal with their playstyle. Meanwhile us spectators will enjoy another big Live event, most likely with loads of heated matches. The playing field consists of 8 teams, 6 of which are North-American. The format will be quite simple, a double elimination bracket and bo3 all the way to the final. It's all happening this weekend so make sure you're prepared.

The prize pool for this event will not be a mean feet, $40.000 will be distributed amongst the best. Another incentive for the competitors to play to the best of their abilities. For those of you who'll be wanting to follow all the action, the event will kick off at 17:30 GMT on stream 1 which can be found below. The necessary and entertaining commentary will come from "The red baron", "Hatperson", Jatt, "Crs. Pluto", "Studio" and "Jaws".
