More CS:GO news (which we don't get, right?) and this time it's hot off the metaphorical press from right here at Gamescom. A conversation with the manager behind the UK's leading e-sports organisation, Team Dignitas, has revealed that they will be looking for a CS:GO team.
Michael "ODEE" O'Dell explained that in no uncertain terms the organisation would be taking on a team, which may come as a surprise given that they shelved CS:S and 1.6. However, the manager was optimistic about the game's future and indeed was interested in taking on a team.
He told us:
It will probably trigger 500 e-mails now but, yes, we will be looking for a CS:GO team. We're going to wait and see how the scene settles, determine who is worth supporting and then we will make our move into the scene.
With rumours revolving around 4kings shortly announcing their return to Counter-Strike by unveiling their own CS:GO team, it looks like UK organisations will be well spoken for. However, reading between the lines, it looked as if Team Dignitas would be supporting a non-UK team unless they could find a set of UK players that would compete at the highest level. With the UK's finest already spoken for in the form of Mousesports it wouldn't leave the UK's premier organisation with a lot of options.
As always you will be able to read about any developments on Cadred.org.
