IEM GC: Final Standings
@ IEM GC: Cologne channel

It's been a relatively calm event for League of Legends, having only eight teams and a couple of games per day, but nevertheless it dwarfed the StarCraft tournament every day.

Not only in prize money, where the LoL hosted a whopping $150,000 for their tournament as opposed to StarCraft 2's mere 30,000 dollar, but also in public attention. The seats were always filled and the crowd was always roaring, up to the point where we couldn't even communicate, it was immense.

In a very IEM Hanover'esque fashion the Russians over at Moscow five dominated the entire competition bar one game, crushing SK like they were nothing in the finals. The big upset though was the CLG team, who were not only widely praised for their consistency but also had a significant time of Korean practice to add to that. It all didn't matter, as SK's ocelote crashed their party early in the semi finals. The team managed to beat fnatic for a spot in the RIOT finals, but this obviously wasn't the showing they were hoping for.
