We love a bit of wild speculation and it seems that the Finnish 1.6 legend Joona "natu" Leppänen might be jumping into CS:GO. Of course, the player had retired from 1.6 and it may well just be a bit of fun, but who is to say how the chips might fall when the competitive CS:GO scene takes off in earnest.
Registered to a team called "The Hawks!", the line-up is also comprised of CS:S veteran Samuel "God" Räsänen (who the older amongst you will remember from several teams including 4kings) and Team Winfakt's Aleksi "allu" Jalli.
It represents another line-up that has brought together 1.6 and CS:S players and ones of some pedigree. While it might well be the case that the team is little more than a way to blow off steam for the experienced players, on paper it could still be a team that will cause more than a few upsets.
Those most upset are likely to be the 1.6 diehards who yet again are seeing 1.6 players of some standing refusing to turn their back on CS:GO as it quickly becomes the only show in town for both Counter-Strike and the FPS genre. We simply can't wait for the tournaments to get started to see whether teams such as this one are a fad or the real deal.
