The first ever offline tournament for CS:GO which will be held in the Stockholm Esport Arena have picked the 8 teams who'll be attending the event

13 teams had signed up for the tournament but unfortunately there were only 8 spots to be given out. The list isn’t full of all-stars names but it contain some familiar names from the CS:S scene. The one big name who had already confirmed their attendance is NiP who won't be happy with anything but the gold.

The event will be held in the Stockholm Esport-Arena and will go live 4 days after the launch of CS:GO. For the people that have been living under a rock, the launch of said game is tomorrow. This means the tournament will take place this weekend on the 25th and 26th of August.

The attending teams for the Steelseries CS:GO LAN:

Gamespace.nu – vetic, poe, kezi, lagerqvist, clueless
Bugg.it – navoy, mugg, berg, twist, cype
Vispy – Edman, Bobban, Putte, Snappsen, Edvin
Team Aim_Map – niwen, barsiC, cuber, TBA, TBA
NWA – fRokiz, ribZ, DeceN, AlexeR, mattouf
whyME – KING, ENONEMADE, FireFly, Patrik, dubstep
Memories – APO, MATTTTI, FIXEL, YNNCK, PnD

The 8 teams who were picked will be split into 2 groups. They'll be playing best of one’s to determine the squads who’ll be going to the playoffs. Once there the remaining teams will have to play best of three’s in a single elimination bracket.

The winner will be going home with €3.500 while the runner ups will be receiving hardware prizes.
