Join The Epic.Ten Team!
@ Scene news channel

Epic.LAN's story for the CS series has been one with ups and downs, ranging from events that have had a great outcome for relatively small prizes to recent events which struggle to get even 10 teams signed up, and with that having less sign-ups for the Call of Duty tournament.

However the Epic team have stood by the CounterStrike community through thick and thin, getting their name out there with each new event. Although their support back from the CS series hasn't always been equally grand, it has come to the point where the event has outgrown it's original venue at the Uttoxeter race course, and perhaps that's where your chances lie to give back to those who so gracefully helped increase the UK scene.

That is because with the coming of the new venue, the Kettering Conference Centre, a whole new range of volunteers are needed to keep the Epic LAN and it's tournaments up and running. To avoid any confusion, everone at epic.LAN is a volunteer, right up to the management team, so being staff at an event is exclusively for the fun and experience.

The Epic team needs help in the following sectors:

Event Team - The people that help you out with all your general queries (including basic technical support), run the big games, fun tournaments and social activities for you, and we want to grow the fun side of the event in our new home.

Tournament Team - We're looking to expand our tournament series, to pick up some of the newer titles for epic.TEN. So if you have experience in a range of games, particularly in the RTS/MOBA scenes or perhaps keen on CS:GO, then we're interested in hearing from you, and you could influence our new tournament lineup.

Content Team - As we have more activities and more people, we want to tell the world what's going on at the event. So if you're good at writing about gaming, a social media whiz, handy with a still or video camera then drop us a line.

Reception/Shop - If the detailed gaming side isn't your thing, but you're good at customer service, then maybe you could help out on our growing helpdesk and shop during the weekend.
If any of this sounds interesting to you, and you want to return the favor to the guys over at Epic, you can leave your application, including with some more information about your experience and why you want to get involved, here.
