More Swedes Switch
@ Scene news channel

A two-for-one combo post late this evening as we see two teams make the transition to Global Offensive, giving more support to the scene and a stronger backbone as the tournaments start to take form.

Cold As Ice (CAI) are back in the loop, after a long hiatus dating back to 2008's LAN season, and they mean business. The veteran of the team had a few words to say before wrapping up the announcement, which you can find below.

Mikail "eksem" Bill on the return:

Everything began when I played a lot of CS:GO gathers with lurkz like 1 month ago, we played a whole lot of gathers with each other and we enjoyed to play together.

Then the night before I was supposed to move from my city to another one I asked him where he was living and he told me that he lives in the city I was moving to, so we asked three other guys from the same city if they wanted to play CS:GO in a team and everybody was positive about it and we began to play.

Cold As Ice are now the following:

Mikail "eksem" Bill
Mahyar "Noodles" Samadi
Stefan "nibble" Wård
Filip "lurkz" Åkerstrand
Joel "honkaz" Honkanen

...but we're not done yet!

Prospects will also be reigning out of Sweden for a glorious return to the Counter-Strike scene with a few old-schoolers of their own, including the former ISCU trio of yesteryear who dabbled in Call of Duty for a bit before making the solid switch to GO. The team's manager had a few words to say about the transition.

Endel "MedaY" Koch (Manager) on the switch:

We are starting the fresh CS:GO season with full speed and a lot of motivation, with plans to attend every event and online tournament to come. We are currently looking for all the support we can get in order to help us succeed.

We would furthermore like to say thank you to all the people who have always supported CS 1.6 and all the players in our team. Hopefully you'll still keep supporting us, and we will have a great future together in CS:GO.

Prospects is now the following:

Joel "emilio" Mako
Danniél "dalito" Morales
André "BARBARR" Möller
John "hyvlarn" Edelsvärd
Daniel "rape" Börzsönyi

As is obvious, Prospects will be looking for financial support regarding LAN trips and what have you along with the usual sponsor deals, but the bigger question looms in the background: are the Swedes ready to overtake the scene this early and reign as the kings as they did in 1.6 for so long, or will the Source boys give them a run for their money?
