Cloud Kingdom is the last map in this GSL Code S series as we see early aggression from both players. Metabolic boost is amlost done for HyuN as Sniper elects to drone up -- could this be a huge mistake? 6:30 in-game as both players secure their expansions and continue to tech up. Sniper's lair comes in a bit slower than HyuN's, but relatively on time nonetheless.

A pause by Sniper due to technical difficulties halts the game. The officials elect to repeat the game, technically making this the first ever 8-game GSL Code S Finals.

Both players go for quick expands, hatch first. Roach warren drops for Sniper as we see quick lair from both. Overlords seek out their respective positions on the map as both players have their strategies extremely fine-tuned. Every little thing counts in this game, as there's nearly $50,000 on the line. HyuN gets his infestors out quicker this game for the first time in the series; 9:00 in and we see Sniper pull up to a 9 supply lead -- nothing drastic, but something to note.

Three bases for both players as both elect for the conservative route; no engagements yet except for a few rogue zerglings here and there; drones favor Sniper but HyuN achieves +2 attack. A hydralisk den is what HyuN should drop with the previously stated attack upgrades. Changelings yelp and scream left and right as both players attempt to try and scout out their opponent stealthily.

HyuN takes a bold fourth base before Sniper in an attempt to bait Sniper's aggression. A calm before the storm as nearly no activity regarding combat has transpired. Infestor counts for both players at eight each. Sniper achieves map dominance with a 20 supply lead and vision across the map. Sniper engages HyuN and causes a 50 supply advantage due to some key fungals which landed and decimated HyuN's infestors.

A fourth base for Sniper drops as changelings go in only to be killed instantly by HyuN. Fifteen hydras against the six of Sniper gives HyuN the dps advantage, but Sniper has twice as many roaches. Sniper's army is ruined as the hydras are simply too strong; both players maxed out, though. Hydras about to hatch for Sniper, HyuN under heavy pressure.

Both players peaking over 400apm in-game, the crowd is going nuts. HyuN swallows Sniper alive but the game is insanely close; Sniper's infested terrans allow him to live for another day. Drone count dead even as income leans in HyuN's favor.

Sniper has too good of a position; HyuN's down to 3-base as Sniper goes up to a 5-base economy with 3/5 actively mining. Sniper mining from the hidden bottom hatchery as he pushes forward. HyuN fails to achieve victory as he over-extended after taking out Sniper's fourth base. Both players are maxed out as hive tech is on the way.

HyuN intercepts Sniper's infestors with hydras and infestors to cross-fungal. Roaches, hydras, infestors are all flooding Sniper's base. The game ticks to nearly 30:00 in-game as both players are dead even. HyuN scouts the hidden fifth of Sniper.

The infestors in the front of HyuN's army clashes against Sniper's army. Sniper swallows HyuN alive and avenges the previous engagement; 187 to 78 supply as Sniper pushes forward to end Game 7 of the GSL Season 5 Code S finals. Sniper AKA Little DRG is your new GSL Champion after 3 hours and 6 minutes of constant play.
