We're just four weeks away from what's set to be the biggest CS:GO tournament to date, as teams from all over the world descend upon Copenhagen to do battle for the lions share of the €33,000 prize purse on offer. Taking place from the 27th-31st of March at the Øksnehallen exhibition centre the event will host CS:Global Offensive, League of Legends and Starcraft II tournaments, with €56,600 up for grabs as well as heaps of hardware offered by the tournament sponsors. Sixteen teams will receive direct invites to the tournament while the remaining sixteen spots will go to those who qualify via the BYOC qualifier on the opening day of the event.
Eight of the invited teams will receive a high seed and eight will receive a low seed. Group will feature one high seed, one low seed and two qualified teams with the top two progressing to the upper bracket - played in a best of three format - and the bottom two heading straight into the best of one lower bracket. Throughout the tournament the maps will be decided by veto, with the map pool as follows:
The organisers have made it possible for teams to rent PC's and monitors at the event but with a limited number available teams will have to act quickly. While the specs of the machines will vary teams have been assured that the minimum specifications will be:
Geforce GTX 660 / Radeon HD 6800
Meanwhile they have revealed that the sign-ups for the tournament have been extended for another week, and will now close on March 10th. You can read all of the rules and regulations Here.
