Ahhh it simply wouldn't be the UK scene without a wee bit of drama every now and then to keep us all entertained. The latest shock comes thanks to Team CRG, just off the back of an encouraging performance at the Mad Catz Invitational.

The British team flew out to Vienna off the back of a disappointing finish at Epic LAN, where they lost out to Team Infused in the lower bracket to finish third overall. Still, the picked themselves up and performed admirably at the much more competitive event in Austria, progressing through the first group stage before crashing out in the second. While the team were never expected to fare much better than they did they were secretly confident of placing well and genuinely felt that they had the ability to beat most of the teams in attendance.

Alas, things don't always go to plan and shortly after touching down in the UK the winds of change had already begun to blow and the man heading for the exit door was Thomas “SPUDZ” White who, despite performing relatively well, simply didn't fit well with the team. In order to replace the departing Welshman the team turned their attention to their rivals, namely the ones who had defeated them at Epic LAN, Infused, and have managed to steal their newest recruit from under them in the shape of Roger 'paynt' Paynter, one of the star performers at Epic LAN with another team, London Lynx. The move leaves Infused without a completed roster once again but with the UK landscape shifting constantly it probably won't be long until they've found a replacement.

After an average performance in Vienna we realised that things weren't going to work out with Tom and we made the decision to get a different player in. In comes Roger "paynt" Paynter who's alerted a lot of people accross the scene with his recent performances at Epic 10 and i48. He's proven all the ancient doubters over his legitimacy wrong and shown everyone what a good player he is. We hope that with our new addition we'll kick on and show people how good we feel we are. The next event you'll see us at is the ESH in Birmingham, hopefully. We felt that attending iseries or copenhagen as a team would be a waste of time and money as we need to get Roger into the swing of things first.
