Epsilon Remove Two
@ Scene news channel

Tonoy "Lox" Prince and Jerry "xelos" Råberg have been removed from the Epsilon lineup despite some solid performances

Over the past few months Epsilon have slowly been working their way into the forefront of the CS:GO scene with their new Swedish squad, with the community completely split down the middle on whether they laud them or loath them after a number of suspicious online performances. While it's normal for the wider community to throw accusations around Epsilon have been on the receiving end of abuse from fellow top players and teams, something of a rarity. The teams only LAN event came recently at the Swedish Masters where the team performed well to come out victorious, but without any real competition - other than a struggling Absolute Legends - it was almost expected.

Now in the run-up to the Copenhagen Games the squad have decided to change things up, a decision they believe needed to be made if they are to compete with the very best in Europe. That means that both Tonoy "Lox" Prince and Jerry "xelos" Råberg will be heading for the exit door. While their replacements are as of yet unannounced, it's expected that former Lemondogs captain André "berg" Kjellberg and ex-Western Wolves player Jonathan "devilwalk" Lundberg will join after the pair signed up to the teams ESL page.

Jesper "jw" Wecksell said the following:

We felt that that we lacked consistency and synergy with this team. Lox & xelos have both been instrumental in getting this team to where we are now, but we believe that to take that jump to the next level, that changes had to be made.

Both Lox and xelos are great guys and we wish them the best of luck.

We are currently trying out two new players who will help us improve our team play, make us more consistent and hopefully get us to that next level. You will definitely see us at Copenhagen Games with our new lineup.

Meanwhile the departing duo were less kind in a statement offered to HLTV.org:

It all started a couple of months ago when "jw" promised "schneider" a spot in our team. At the time, the team was: Lox, jw, xelos, flusha and KAB0M. Thanks to jw's promise schneider left Absolute Legends and wanted a spot in Epsilon.

When jw couldn't deliver a spot because Lox and I said that we did not want to change the lineup when everything was going so well, jw threaten to drop the team and said that if schneider did not get a spot they would take flusha with them.

Lox and I did not have any say in this and just had to swallow our pride and do what was best for the team and for Epsilon, so we brought in schneider instead of kab0m.

After a while, we felt that our ingame leader flusha just moved more and more away from that role, and in the end he did not want to call anymore. This is when we started losing our matches, and instead of practicing more, watching demos and building tactics, they wanted to play with two other players instead of us.

In the end, they blame us for everything when in reality we did everything we could do to make this team successful. Feel free to watch the VOD from Swedish Masters, the only LAN we went to, and see for yourselves which two players carried the team to a 2-0 victory.

What is done is done, but we won't give up. We have already created a team with a lineup we feel confident with and, the most important part, we have fun with. We are currently searching for a new organisation to play for. If you want a team that do not change the roster every single week, feel free to add me on Skype jraberg1 or email me at Tonoys@hotmail.com.

Epsilon are:

Jesper "jw" Wecksell
Robin "flusha" Rönnquist
