One of the biggest online tournaments for CoD series is here once again, but this time the game played is the number four. This long waited tournament with the total of 256 teams, will kick off on Thursday, 10th January.

The invited teams to the cup were announced just yesterday, and now the organisers have announced the other teams, that will have to play a qualification match, from which the best out of three maps will continue to the group stage #1.

The prizes of the cup will be announced later, but it's already announced that there will be money as well as hardware prizes for the best three teams.

These following 64 teams have been invited from the teams signed up. They were chosen by their previous success in cod4 ladders / tournaments, but since CoD4 is a new game, these teams will not probably be the best 64 teams participating.

After those 64 teams were selected, the rest 192 were picked up to play the 96 qualification matches, from which the winners continue on the tournament, and the losers will be knocked out. Even though 256 teams are accepted into this cup, some of them didn't make it even to the qualifications. 30 teams were made as backup teams as there simply wasn't room for everyone. As there is so many matches, we didn't find it clever to post all of them here, as really many of them will propably just be noshows, but all the matches and result can be found at codQcup site.
