This is the second team of the month -article here at cadred.org, and i've decided to give you, our thankful readers, an exlusive article of a pretty unknown, but successful CoD4 team, The6Devils. This very team managed to win the biggest cod4 online tournament so far. They faced the CoD2 dominants, Tek9, in the Grande Finale of CODQCUP JAN08. After the very exciting match, the6devils came out with a 13-9 score in mp_crash, after losing the first map mp_crossfire 4-13. After this surprice victory having beaten every single top team in europe, I decided it would be nice to let you know more about this german team that used to play CoD2 under the name of High Fidelity.
Creepy (manager)
iFEARdilemma! (captain)
Mokai
Respawn
flie*
thunder
mazakR (back-up)
I asked iFEARdilemma to make a description of each of their players, and here it is:
Manager: Toni "Creepy" Löschner
He's the man behind the action, Toni "Creepy" Löschner handles together with iFEARdilemma! almost everything the team needs to remember, except gaming! He sets up the pressure behind the team and saves our back with very good organisation skills.
Captain: Andre "iFEARdilemma!" Merzinsky
Andre "iFEARdilemma!" Merzinsky is 19 years old and going to school. He started gaming before some years with games like Tactical-Ops, Counter-Strike or Quake3. He's the Captain of #THE6DEVILS and Team-Germany. He is the soul of the team and motivates his mates as good as he can. Ingame hes unpredictable (stupid), but it works ;D.
Andreas "flie*" Rhein
Flie is 19 years old and works as a chemical laborant. He started gaming with diablo2 and some shooters. Besides his awesome ingame performance hes the one who holds us on the bottom. If he wasn't in the team we would just fool around in the matches and often he saves our ass with making us remember the important things.
Turgut "Respawn" Yildiz
Turgut "Respawn" Yildiz is 20 years old and started his gaming career with good old Counter-Strike. There's not much to say about him. He doesn't really know what hes doing, but it works great. Usually we dont spectate him when we are dead, if we did do so, it would just cause panic.
Burak "Mokai" Bolat
Burak "Mokai" Bolat is 19 years old, going to school and the good mood in the team. He always stays calm what definitly relaxes the team. Ingame he always tries to have an overview and secures our last defense lines.
Volkan "thunder" Kocakahya
Volkan is also 19 years old and you can just describe him as the ultimate killing machine. I think he plays every game he gets in his fingers like a geek and does well. He's like a tasmanian devil, he runs around and kills everyone in his sight.
I also sat down with iFEARdilemma and asked him some questions to finish this article.
Hi Andre. Could you introduce yourself to our readers?
My name is Andre "iFEARdilemma!" Merzinsky, actually I am the captain of #THE6DEVILS and Team-Germany.CoD4. I am 19 years old, going to school, living in Germany and I started gaming years ago with games such as Counter-Strike, Tactical-Ops and Quake3, the last of these I prefered most and that's why I love Call of Duty - because CoD is based on the same game engine that Quake 3 was built on. I give my best to support my team as good as possible and some people told me I am the soul of our team, who knows if this is right. I am really into e-sport and i really hope CoD4 will go on growing like it actually does.
You have a long and colorful career as a gamer. Could you give us a short description of your history?
Years, years ago I started as newbie like everyone does. To this time Counter-Strike was born and games like Quake3 or Tactical-Ops & Unreal Tournament had their childhood. I was in touch with every of those games but only as a fungamer like probably every gamer to this time due to the fact professional e-sport and progamers were things no one knew about. I just played and played and after a while I recognised that I have been top fragger all the time. So it came, when the scene was grown up I became one of the best Tactical-Ops gamers in its little community. I was known for awesome config skills and played alot of Quake3 beside. Over all my time i spent in e-sport I was involved in some projects, nationalteams, attended tournaments had some pretty good achievements in Tactical-Ops, Quake3 etc. I really loved the Quake3 engine and when CoD1 was released my chance has come to play in a team on a game wich was build on the engine i loved. Then I started to build teams wich departed often and met loads of people. There I allready was friend with my mates thunder & flie* who played with SL|Trigger in the dominating dSlash team to this time. I established a good reputation in germany for my oldschool config tweaking skills beside beeing a good player. After several changes in the community and months later I teamed up with the actuall devils team and now you all can see how this team has grown.
What do you think of CoD4 in total? How about the current rulesets and the recently made noswaymod and sniperfix by callofduty.se?
Call of Duty4 in total is a game with huge potential. The CoD community is growing from day to day and this is going on since CoD1 was released. So there is no doubt that CoD is one of the upcoming games. If our community goes on behaving like this I think the future of CoD4 will be pretty nice. As long as everyone has to play with equal settings i dont care that much about the ruleset. But if I think about it I would say add the nosway mod, dont touch the smgs or just limit them to three for each team. Imo the nosway mod brings in enough balance for the moment and we shouldnt make too much changes at the same time. The sniperfix could definitly overpower the scope, so I would be really careful with adding such a mod. We have alot of time, so just add the nosway and wait a bit to see what changes we need to do in the future.
You just achieved the goal every top CoD4 team has been aiming at. Would you like to comment the recent CODQCUP and your great performance in it?
Its totaly great to be the winner of the CoDQCup, but its also something you shouldnt overrate. With a bit more luck tek9 could also be the champion of this event. Anyway this cup was a nice experience for us and we had a lot of fun in it. We had loads of spectacular matches, like the games vs dignitas, esuba, fnatic or tek9. Those are surely matches we will remember and beeing the winner of this event will strengthen our back. The admins of the codqcup made an awesome job aswell, I really hope they will go on like that. And last but not least, the communities interest into the CoDQCup is something we shouldnt forget to thank for.
Now that you have crushed every single team out of your way with no losses in the CODQCUP JAN08 playoffs, how would you describe your future sights and plans?
Thats hard to answer. With the lack of support we arent able to attend every lan wich is hold out there. So if you look back, the last lan we attended in this lineup was the tek9 oof2 lan in cod2 half a year ago. Sure we will save some money and try to attend as much offline events as we can but tbh we really need a good organisation we can play for. We want to become the best and we will definitly spend alot of soul spirit and time to reach that position. As I often say, we make one step ahead another till we reach our goal.
Thank you Andre. It has been a pleasure to work with you, and I wish you and your team the very best of luck in future.
Thanks for the interview! :) I wanna shoutout to my teammates, i love you <3! Hehe.
