Long story short, the tournament was going to be changed but isn't now. It's back to Group stages followed by double elimination. Sorry about the confusion, but there was nothing we could do, as the tournament organisers themselves have changed their mind numerous times.
I'll leave the old information here but everything quoted is out of date. Not complicated, so don't complain.
The Call of Duty 4 admins at Multiplay's i33 tournament have just announced a change in the tournament format.
Originally the tournament was going to begin with group stages, and progress to a double elimination format. However, due to time constraints of all the competitions, restrictions have been made and it has unfortunately been changed.
The tournament will now begin with group stages for the TUP teams, which will then progress to double elimination, where they will meet the BYOC teams.
A statement by Timmyy, head Call of Duty 4 admin, will follow shortly.
Although there were discussions earlier about the other tournaments following the same format, we can confirm that it will stay as group stages then double elimination for CS:Source.
