i33 : Interview with odyx
@ i33 channel

After a convincing win at CDC4, fnatic are generally considered the best team in Europe at the moment. We caught up with odyx at i33 on his feelings about the event so far.

How confident are you going into the tournament?

I would say were quite confident after winning CDC4. CDC4 had a lot more topteams attending, but there are of course some really good clans at i33 aswell so its gonna be tough. But were quite confident.

Speaking of CDC4, how has your win there affected your preparation for this event? It must be tempting to just relax and take it easy, as you guys performed so well in the Netherlands.

The first couple of days after CDC4 we were taking a small pause in the wait for zEm to get back from Thailand, but after that we have been playing a lot to get zEm back on track for the event and so far it has been working really great, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

There has been a lot of problems with the networking of the exhibition stands. How has this affected your practice schedule?

We havent practiced anything at all so far. We\ve just played some DM to fix our settings n stuff. But i wouldnt say its just because of the internet, there\s been some problems with our computers and thats what have been preventing us from practising the most.

I know the fnatic CSS team have been having similar performance issues with the PCs. Has this all been fixed, or will you be forced to play with them in the tournament?

I think the css guys are still trying to fix their computers, but ours are fixed and good 2 go.

Going back to the exhibition stand then, how do you think the pressure of playing there will affect your game, if at all? I know certain teams thrive on this kind of scenario, but are fnatic one of them?

I don't think it will affect ourr game really, I just think it's nice to have our own computers to play on, that's all.

What are your general impressions of the event so far? Would the problems earlier on regarding the tournament format affect your future attendance to iSeries?

I think the event is gonna turn out really good if we could just get those groups announced soon enough. Otherwise i havent got a bad impression at all. Ive been at worse events, and I doubt it will affect our attendance in the future.

Want to name and shame them?

Haha, nah, no names.

And finally, who do you consider your main competition for the event? Who will be up there on the podium alongside you guys come Monday?

Could be any of the topseeded teams really, just matters which team has the best day. But i would guess EG, TLR or ravens.

Thanks a lot for your time odyx, and best of luck in the tournament. If you want to thank anyone, thank away, and if not then feel free to insult your team or something similar.

I want to thank all boys in fnatic and our sponsors for making this event possible for us to attend! We\ll make you proud ;).
