9-12th at ESWC, undrafted McNaab
@ Spotlights channel

After losing HudzG to London Mint, Guns4hire were on the search for a fifth, who tonight they announced as Luke "KritikaL" Green, a former Dignitas with a wealth of international tournament experience.

I sat down with him and found out what he expects coming into Counter-Strike: Source.

So KritikaL, for those out there who may not know you, please tell us a bit about yourself.
Aye I’m Luke Green I’m 20 years old, I’m currently in my first year at university studying Business management and administration! I started playing 1.6 about 6-7 years ago progressed through the ranks and hit fame dignitas coming 9th @ ESWC last summer! I’ve now come back to source after a bit of Counter-Strike break and enjoying it thoroughly!
So CSS, better or worse than you thought it would be?
Well at first when I started playing, I was on a 5-6 year old absolute worst pc ever and that was in summer last year and it really put a downer on the game for me, but now I’ve bought a new pc and it runs source smooth and it really does make the game 100 times more enjoyable!
So how does it compare to 1.6 for you?
There are a hell of a lot of similarities. The main thing I’ve found is the walls, not being able to shoot through them really makes a HUGE difference, Strafing in and out of walls is literally unbeatable it’s really strange :P cause doing that in 1.6 is suicide !! but yeah it’s definitely as fun as 1.6 and I’m playing with a sound group of lads which helps and I like the fact you have to aim a lot more
Coming into Guns4hire, is the team a step to a larger success for you, CGS perhaps, or are you in it for the long haul?
y main goal in guns4hire is to play the best of my ability and aim to get in CGS @ season 3 when the new franchises get introduced. There’s people saying that I’ll quit after CGS if I don’t get drafted, But I don’t expect to get drafted in 3 weeks time, And I’m planning to go to various other lans with g4h over the summer and that’s my priority at the moment!
So is CGS the future for eSports for you?
The CGS is the future for eSports to me, Season 3 is when I will become something more than warclown ( undrafted mcnaab ) and that’s what I’m setting my hopes on! I’m really looking forward to becoming part of the CGS organisation and the luxuries that will give to me whilst being at UNI )
To some in the Counter-Strike: Source scene you've already made an impression, would you say you're one of the more "interesting" personalities in the game?
HAHA yeah probably, I’m always seen as a loud one at lans and someone who speaks their mind. I like to argue my point and get my point across to people :D I’m also very enthusiastic with just about everything I do, When I used to play football I was always captain of the football teams I played for and from a very young age I always liked to be the best and it’s the same with counterstrike.
So with the last few players making the switch over to CSS, is 1.6 dead in the UK?
I wouldn’t say the last few players are making the switch over, there’s still a hell of a lot of people playing 1.6. I just think if I can make the switch to source and get to the same standard as I was in 1.6 then I’ll be getting paid a salary, whereas in 1.6 I had been playing for 6 years I wasn’t going to get much better if any and I very much doubt I would ever get a salary in that game! :D
So how well is the new team getting along
Yeah its going awesome playing with Frankie again is awesome I played a lot of 1.6 with him so we kind of think on the same level and play in the same style, I learn a hell of a lot of stuff from olly Nat and tom little positions movement I’m really inspired by these guys and have a lot of respect for them and they’re really helping me with various different aspects of source.

I hope they’re learning from me the way I’m very team work based and have a high standard to stick by, so yeah its good I really enjoy playing with them all they're really nice guys and so it’s cool !
Thanks for your time, good luck in the new team.
Also big shout out to John( chilli ) and Olly ( crazycat ) for working on the sponsors for lan79 and getting us the funding for it and http://www.guns4hire.org/ check it out ! And see our beautiful faces !
