TheSGL has announced the Summer Slam LAN event, a 48-hours lan party which will take place in June 7th-8th at the Omega Sektor in Birmingham.

The event will be open to all game types, from Counter-Strike 1.6 and Source to Call of Duty 4 and Team Fortress 2.

Together with these games there will be the ESWC UK Finals, with Quake III, Counter-Strike 1.6, Warcraft 3 and Trackmania Nations.

The entry fee is quite cheap: £25 (£15 if taking part in online qualifiers for ESWC) and organizers will give you your own PC, which will be yours for the duration of the event.

Furthermore, everyone will be able to play all night without extra charge, saving this way hotel bills.

This event has not yet had any non-ESWC tournaments (and therefore prize funds) announced - these will be released at a later date.
