From left to right; darky, xertion
I caught up with fnatic's darky for the first time of the event after the insane game versus magnitude.
So morning darky, this is actually the first fnatic interview of the tournament, I'll start with the game vs magnitude, what a game. Was it one of the best games you've ever taken part in?
Yeah defenitely, it was the best game we ever played. The entire game was comebacks, both teams had incredible leads, and the other team managed to pick up the slack to make it closer again.
You lost your map choice, how much of a mental blow was that?
It was a really big blow, we had a big lead on terrorist, 11-4, and for some reason we couldn;'t get our ct together, and lost ct 12-1, and that was really hard tofocus after that, especially on inferno afterwards.
After losing t side 13-2, did you still think you could win the map?
I thought we lost, we just wanted to make a proper score so it wouldn't look like completely one sided.
Next you face H2k , who beat attax 2-0, did that score surprise you?
not really, we played them online 2 days before and they were really strong, we haven't played attax in a while so I'm not sure.
So far who's been your teams MVP?
I don't think we have one, we're more team based than pure skill, and most of our opponents would agree on that.
Do you think now is the time to show the critics that you can still win events?
This is a good opportunity to do that, we don't see the last months as a total failure, we just didn't manage to seal the deal in the other LAN's. It would be good to finish first in another event.
Before the i33 and this event, there were claims of lack of motivation, is that still lurking?
It's really difficult when blaze had a new job, and works 3 days a week. We can only play 2-3 days a week, which is not enough at the top level. That motivation is still kinda hard, but a one week bootcamp really helped.
Who do you think will win in the esuba logitech game?
Honestly I have no idea, I havent seen either of them play later, I'm not sure how Juha fits in to the team and we haven't played esuba for a while.
When was the last time you think the team played this well?
That would be at SLAP 13, where we managed to pull off the same upset against MYM, where we came from the lower bracket and still won the event.
Thanks for your time and good luck!
