Two weeks ago theSGL announced "Summer Slam", a LAN event to be held at the Birmingham Omega Sektor at the start of June.

They have now announced details of tournaments for both Counter-Strike: Source and Call of Duty 4.

The entry fee to the event is £25 per person, which includes an all-night pass so you don't have to pay for a hotel if you don't want to!

Each tournament has a prize fund of £1000, split between first and second 3:1 - leaving the top team walking away with £750.

Also announced was theSGL Summer Slam Party, the night before (6th June):

On the Friday before the lan ( Friday 6th ) we will be having a pre lan party night. The Omega Sektor will be lit up even more than usual as DJ's take over and set the mood for Summer SLAM!

PC's will of course be available for you to use during the evening (standard rates will apply). With dancing girls and the fully licensed bar the first floor will be an 18+ zone so make sure you bring some ID along with you.

Entry to the SLAM! party night is free of charge and the ground floor will be still be available for the under 18's or those of you who just want to turn up and play games instead!

I am also reliably informed that there will be vodka at only £1/shot, so make sure you dont miss out!
