Europe in a state of upheaval
@ Spotlights channel

The month of May has probably been the most volatile in TF2's short history, with 4Kings making 4 changes to their lineup, as well as Excello reshuffling their squad and perhaps, most notably – after their recent surge in to TF2's list of top teams, Clan Fracture folding.

Packard Bell Four Kings

4Kings were the first team forced to make changes, with Gegon moving countries for his new job, Epsylon discovering the unknown realm of “Real Life” and AppZ being removed from the roster.

Fortunately for 4Kings, Swedish and Finnish giants [IDAC] + Sigh6 folded and Team Excello experienced a period of change, allowing them to pickup Masiina, Paavi, Ryb & Bybben.

Statement from Björn "Bybben" Andersson

During all my days playing computer games, Four Kings has always been my favourite multigaming-org and to actually get the opportunity to join them myself is pretty cool.

Four Kings has proven to be the top european clan in TF2 and because of that I'm very happy to be a part of it. I'm going to practice a lot harder to stay on top from now on, I'm looking forward to having Masiina as a partner out on the field.

Leaving Excello was a tough decision, but for me to get anywhere further in this game, I had to move on. After getting some blessing from some of my former team-mates, I feel like this was definitely the right decision.

Statement from Christian "Riemu" Hofmann, the 4Kings Team Captain

The current 4Kings roster is the one you will be seeing a lot of in the near future, it's basically a completely different one since our last ETF2L Season and Cup win.

The acquisition of Masiina, ryb and Paavi has already paid off by winning the ETF2L Finals vs. Fracture and with bybben joining us I´m quite confident we will keep the success coming.

In fact, having probably the best scout duo in the world (Masiina + bybben) should give us another edge over our opponents.

Our primary goal is to win the (not yet officially announced) CDC5 LAN event in September and the CGS qualifier starting in August.

Although we have still a lot of catching up to do regarding our team play (which we will try to fortify in the next 2 months), I am quite sure we can achieve those goals. You can read more about our recent changes in my blog on the 4Kings website.

Team Excello

Another team implementing notable changes to their roster is Team Excello. With bybben leaving for 4Kings, lezek and hording quiting, Team Excello has resorted to recalling a few veterans.

Returning to the scene is no other than the ace scout of Team Excello's old roster, FeTTe, who will be joining hands with another notorious old school scout, also a former member of Team Excello, Glufse.

Also joining up, due to the recent events in Clan Fracture, is the star soldier appe.

Statement from Erik "appe" Karlsson

I played with Fracture for 6 months and even though we'd been through some rough times it was always a pleasure to play with them. However, I was growing quite tired of TF2 and almost decided to quit playing.

When I was asked to join the new Excello squad I couldn't decline. Excello is one of the finest gaming teams in Europe and the opportunity to play with the top Swedish players was just the thing I needed to get my motivation going again.

Statement from Ricky "sommie" Eriksson, the Excello Team Captain

Although I'm very sad to see them go, I'm confident that our new roster will prove to be a strong one.

Glufse and Fette will surely become one of the most fearsome scout duos, and with the most down to earth player in TF2, ins, as our new medic, we are hopeful to make a strong impact on the TF2 scene.

We now have a lot to work to do, especially our synergy and teamplay. However, time and practice is sure to sort that out.

Clan Fracture

After narrowly losing the ETF2L Cup Final against 4Kings, Clan Fracture has decided enough is enough. The team managed to reach the playoff stages of ESL'S Major Series competition and hold the joint 1st spot in ETF2L Division 1. Whilst it seems a strange decision, Arto “Agron” Gröndahl has taken a timeout to give us the following statement :-

Statement from former Fracture Medic, Arto "Agron" Gröndahl

Well I guess we all wanted to do something fresh. For example, Chode had wanted to stop playing TF2 quite some time, however he stuck with us until the ETF2L Final. That combined with cosmic, our former scout leaving, meant we lost motivation.

We grew tired of playing tf2 every night, either against the same teams, or against “run over” opponents. That made practicing stale and work-like. So we felt that we weren't going anywhere anymore.
