Hymzi has played an important role in the success of 4 Kings over the past 4 months and I´m quite sure we wouldn´t be where we are right now without him. Seeing him leave really breaks my heart and I will definitely miss his "JUST PUUUUSH!" shouts on Mumble.Lineup:
At the same time however, I know it´s the best for him and for us. With the upcoming LAN competitions, I had to reduce my team to a solid core of 6 and 2 backup players, leaving no place for a second guaranteed Demoman slot. I had a sit down with both of my Demomans and since both wanted to fight for the Demoman slot things could have become really messy in the future, leading to some really hard and unfair decisions.
With some of the Clan United players striving for a change, hymzi took the possibility of a lifetime to form a team with insanely strong finnish players, and therefore being able to challenge the success he had with 4Kings and maybe even overcome it.
Good luck to you my friend, looking forward to meeting you @ LAN!
As far as I'm concerned, I think there simply hasn't been a Euro-team good enough to even pose a threat to the all mighty titan that is 4K. Ever since the demise of Fracture. And therefore, after having heard the announcements of CGS and PCGamer about the launch of highly remunerated TF2-tournaments, we had this idea of forming an new team.Lineup:
Now, we finally were able to pluck up the courage and put our plan into action. Our primary goal will be of course: to take on the legacy of the old Team Fracture.
From the beginning we´ve played this game for fun and avoided a too serious playstyle. Most of our players have known each other in real life for a long time and even despite of some of our core members leaving or quiting the game, our team spirits are still very high.Lineup:
Because of the "just fun" attitude and busy real life activities, we´ve been avoidin bureaucracy fortress leagues and cups pretty much for now. However this all changed a couple of weeks ago, when we finally realized we didnt totally suck llamas ass.
You´ll be seeing Blood Pressure in cups, leagues, tournaments and hopefully lans as we are going to compete at a professional level from now on.
When we first started to play TF2 with UNi, we focused mainly on 8vs8 games. We were pretty successful, mainly because of lack of competition, though :) Our history with 8vs8 games is also the reason why our member list is so long.Former lineup:
Later on, we switched to 6vs6 and steadily became better and eventually rose to the top 5 of Europe. To be honest though, we never couldn't challenge the absolute best in Europe. I think the biggest reason for that is that we never really had a stable lineup in terms of activity; there was always someone missing and we had to use backup players, who weren't as good skill-wise, and our teamplay really didn't improve that much when compared to other teams'
About the departure of UNi: the only thing I've been told is that Moose, snifz and humis are leaving to form a team with Haza, Masiina, paavi and hymzi. If the final lineup of theirs is gonna be that, I don't know because I haven't been told. Also, I haven't been told the reasons for their departure, and I haven't asked for them. But I think they want to play in a team with "the good guys," or maybe they hope to get more active and stable team and rise to the top. I can't speculate this any further, because I don't have the knowledge. I feel very sad with the way that I, and the others, have been left out; everything was "explained" in one sentence in IRC :)
Personally, I don't know if I'm gonna continue playing TF2. I have the interest to play but only in a team that is, or atleast has the potential, to be the best. Playing in a not-so-competitive team and/or players has never really been fun for me. What comes to this new "superteam," I can't honestly wish them good luck. I really hope they fail. That would make me feel warm and fuzzy inside :D
The first few weeks of excellos new lineup were a bit shaky, with FeTTe taking the scoutspot, Appe taking InS old soldierspot, Weqo joining us as secondary (everything) demo and had InS retrain to become our medic. We managed to pick probably (one of) the best from each class and now we have a really great lineup and im quite confident that we will take one of the top positions in the leagues we attend. Im looking forward to show up on the upcoming LAN-events and beat the hell out of my old scoutpal bybben <3 and with team Excello in our back i will play like the proud scout I am, after all we are Defining Excellence :).Lineup:
I think that it comes as a surprise for many of those who've known me since AQ2 days that I'm leaving United's TF2 squad. After all, I've been in this clan since year 2000 and I was the leader of the ETF and TF2 teams. The fact just is that UNi's TF2 roster was not built for competitive games. It was more like a group of old friends than a serious team. We had 15 members in the TF2 lineup and still had huge problems to get 6 players together to play a cw. Most of our guys are what you would call casual players, just playing every now and then for the fun of it. We had some fun times playing with this team and managed to compete better than any of us expected. Third place in both ETF2L seasons in div1, third place in TheSGL Invite League, won the Enemy Down 1200£ 8v8 league and now we've reached the final game in the 800£ 6v6 league as well. We also won the ESL 8v8 cup and got a playoffs spot in the ESL Major Series. Pretty good for a not serious clan I'd say :)Lineup:
When I heard news about PCGamer's 18,500€ TF2 tournament, I started thinking that it would be nice to play in a team that could actually compete in the upcoming LAN events. I started talking with the three Finnish players in 4Kings about forming a best possible Finnish team to offer a real challenge for the currently dominating team, 4K. They were all interested but unfortunately for us, Masiina decided to stay in 4K after all. The other two left, so now we have hymzi as our demoman and paavi as the medic. From Clan United I wanted to have the most active and in my opinion the best players. Sniffer is a great soldier and I'm really used to pair up with him as a soldier myself so we make a good combo there. Then we took also humis, who is an excellent heavy and demoman. Luckily Rebeli from Blood Pressure decided to start playing TF2 again, so we took him to replace Masiina as a scout. He will be paired with Haza from Cruciamentum, who is in my opinion one of the best scouts around and also a really good soldier to back me or snifz up when needed.
Now we will start practising hard to get our teamplay to a good shape and hopefully we can soon give the top teams like 4K and Pandemic some real competition. At least I'm confident that we have the potential to do that with this lineup.
The past month has seem some drastic changes to our side. Unfortunately we had to remove Joshua “BOOMting” Walton from the line-up. Instead of finding a replacement we decided to reshuffle the team, which obviously has had an adverse effect on our results.Lineup:
On the other side of things, we managed to pick up a very talented scout, whilst nvc is reasonably new to the game, he has shown some fantastic potential and we are looking forward to developing our tactics with him in the team. We also have added lezek to our roster, he is a proven medic and will be looking to establish himself in the side over the coming weeks.
On a whole, we are happy with our recent progress in all competitions, although we do feel a bit “hard done by”, after ED refused to let us use our new players in the 6on6 Cup Quarter Finals and dropping 14 points in ETF2L due to other teams folding.
We are definitely going to i34 and crossfire's LAN and will be looking to qualify for the CGS and PC Gamers LAN.
The past 3 months have seen an incredible change in the TF2 scene with clans such as Kompaniet and Fracture dropping from the game also a few highly skilled players have also retired which has meant that many player changes have been made within some of the top teams and the competition is now more intense than ever.Lineup:
Wotr have progressed winning Multiplay's i33 and are going from strength to strength, our origonal line up of Xman,Mini,Byte-Me,Evil,Topgear,Stealthy,Albert,Drg has now been enhanced with 3 players that have joined us and are having a big impact with our already well established team. Angoranbedsock formally Panache and Team Coolermaster,Coinz formally Animate and 5Q and Appz formally 4Kings and Fracture are settling in.
With well established MGC's such as 4k already on the scene TF2 is surly to be the next online phenomena that will attract other big names to the fold something in my opinion that can only enhance TF2 and bring it more into line with other games such as CSS and COD4. So who knows what the future will bring but one thing is for sure ^wotr^ is ready for it !!!
