This is the first in a new series of articles here on Cadred, aimed not only at the fanboys among us (yes I'm looking mainly at Felix) but at anyone who enjoys watching some of the greatest players in the world doing what they do best.

Demos are traditionally released on a per-match and per-event basic, but what this series of articles does is bring you demo packs per player.

Each article will bring you a good selection of point-of-view demos for three top players from either Counter-Strike 1.6 or Source, as well as providing a short intro to that player, their in-game config, and some details of what hardware and settings they use to play with.

This week features three top 1.6 players, f0rest, aZn and ArcadioN. Our demo packs and introductions were compiled this week by Cadred writer Felix Morgan.



When it comes to CounterStrike, f0rest is THE player.

Time after time, match after match, f0rest has shown himself to be an incredible player. In 2006 he won every accolade there was, including "Best Counter-Strike player in the world", and has been the impact fragger on the biggest team in the world for several years, fnatic.

An amazingly clutch player with one of the most consistent rifles in the game, Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg is on another level to the majority of the scene, and is worshipped by hundreds of players all around the world.

Kevin "aZn" Wang is one of the most interesting personalities in the US scene.

Despite being incredibly skilled, he has struggled to find long lasting teams occasionally due to his somewhat controversial personality. Having played for almost every top US organisation, including x6, eMg, GB, JMC, u5, zEx, and recently Dallas Venom for CS:Source, he is one of the most well known players around, and has the achievements to match.

Having finished 1st at over 60 LANs over the past 6 years, he has continuously proven what an amazing player he is.

Until very recently, ArcadioN was the in game caller, and tactical leader in the danish team Spirit Of Amiga.

Having played since early 2003, he has huge amounts of experience, and had brought SoA to being one of the best Danish teams.

Despite having received offers from numerous top teams, such as NoA, his commitment to his team was unrivalled, and he always remained loyal to SoA. A few days ago, however, the team split up, and it remains to be seen where ArcadioN will go from here.

Having helped develop players like Sunde, zitic, and wazorN, he has an unusual eye for talent, and has helped the Danish scene develop hugely.
