"I'm proud of them for what they did."
Augusto "NoobZaibot" Zapata is my new favorite General Manager in the Championship Gaming Series. The Mexico City Furia General Manager's passion draws instant comparisons to another intense General Manager in the league, the LA Complexity's Jason Lake. He stood behind his Counter-Strike: Source team pacing back and forth, dancing higher and higher with every round won and wringing his hands with every round lost. Even when the overall franchise match was over Zapata did not miss a beat, screaming as his team would go on to defeat Salvo's source team in a huge upset.
Cadred spoke with him minutes after the game on his thoughts on an intense match.

The game started with a huge low, a loss in Dead or Alive Male, yet ended with a huge high in Counter-Strike: Source, how do you feel right now?
We came here with the advantage in Dead or Alive, according to the critics and with two achilles heels in FIFA and Counter-Strike: Source, everything was reversed. Our source team proved their worth to the world and to me and I'm proud of them for what they did. Dead or Alive is just a matter of more practice, El Divino has huge potential, he's proved himself before and he'll prove himself again next year. Our forza racers didn't do that well, but they just need more practice. We haven't had the chances to play as much as the other regions have.
If the game order had been different, perhaps with Source first, could we have seen a different result tonight?
It's a tough question. I think that source accomplished the goals they had, they defeated the number one team according to many people, our DoA suggests a bad day.
Do you think the stage affected your Dead or Alive players negatively?
It's just a matter of practice. We have no one to play with in our region. It's not the stage at all. The level across the board has risen so fast and it's really high now, we're going to prepare better for next year.
Do you think next season you have to be in the North American regular season?
Of course, I know we can compete with anyone in the league,we deserve that chance.
Thank you for your time, condolences on your loss, good luck next season!
