TeX: Interview with .PhP
@ The Experience 2008 channel

After a disappointing group stage, Cadred spoke to Reason-Gaming's Marek ".PhP" Kadek about the event so far, an interview that was interupted by Marek answering his mobile and saying "I don't sell rooms; I'm not a hotel manager."

Hi Marek, how have you found the event so far?
It’s probably the worst lan we’ve had, constant switching between PCs is terrible for our team, other than that the arena is very nice, the PCs are good.
You’ve managed to come second despite what has to be a disappointing group stage for you – how do you feel about your performances against MGC and Roskilde?
All our matches were disappointing for us, we’ve been playing really badly, and we haven’t yet won a single pistol round. Our first match was against MGC, we had no time to warm-up because of some problems with Mumble. We had pretty good gun rounds, but we lost some important 3v5 situations, which teams shouldn’t be losing.
You now will meet Mortifer if the first round of the Upper Bracket, which you would find hard to lose – assuming you do beat them, how are you feeling about facing Crossed in round two?
I’m looking forward to this game, but right now we are concentrating on beating Mortifer, because after our recent results it’s hard to be confident at all. We’ve had some close PCWs with Crossed lately, so I think we can beat them, but we have to start performing better than we have been so far. From what I’ve seen Crossed are playing very well, and warclown can get them properly motivated, so it will be a tough game for sure.
How about the other teams, obviously everyone has made it past the group stages – you haven’t been on top of your game so far this event, are any of the other top seeds having a bad event in your opinion?
Magnitude are performing very well, as they beat Four-Kings 24-6, Epsilon are doing a good job so far, with their draw against Logitech, although I would have expected them to win. OBi are under-performing, and I was surprised by the Roskilde mix, they are playing quite well.
Looking past the matches, how are you enjoying your second trip to a top European LAN?
We flew here; the flight took about an hour, which was far better than driving to Lan79. We’re staying in a nicer hotel too, with good beds and showers, which is a bit unusual for us at LANs – we’re used to sleeping on floors and so on. Reason really have taken care of everything.

It’s a very expensive country, and its surprisingly warm here, I expected it to be much colder.
Considering the teams that are present, who would you predict to take the top three places, excluding yourselves?
Having looked at how the bracket has worked out, I’d say Magnitude, MGC and Epsilon.
Ok, thanks for your time, do you have any final comments?
Thanks to Ben and Adam from Reason, I hope we won’t disappoint them.
