After a fair bit of work (many thanks to Teijo Laine as usual), we've implemented a new comments system into the site, to fix some bugs and to bring some new features.
Here's what has changed:
Removed Firefox 2 bug that caused pages with many comments to overload CPU, freezing the user's computer.
Removed Firefox 3 bug that caused some pages to only load a small percentage of comments, requiring a/several page reload(s).
Moved the location of the comment box when replying to a specific comment (it will now always be right below the comment you are replying to).
Added Edit/Delete buttons for your own comments (no more click-to-edit) - more accessible functions for users who are new to Cadred.
Once someone else has replied to your comment, you can no longer edit or delete it.
Clickable URLs are now enabled, type any website link and it will turn into an html link.
Site formatting can no longer be effected by lengthy comments, they are restricted to the correct width.
Comments can no longer become "No Reply" comments - Comments will be moved inline with the one above to save site formatting, and a note will be added to that comment to show who you are replying to.
If you have any problems with the new system, or any feedback/suggestions, feel free to leave comment on this article, or contact me on IRC.
