ESL NC: The Grand Final
@ TF2 Nations Cups channel

The long awaited ESL Nations Cup Final between Finland and Sweden will be played tonight, starting at 21:30 CET. The first part of the final was played last Sunday and Sweden won this game 2-1. This was not enough for the Swedes to secure the title as Finland had managed to beat them earlier in the upper bracket final, thus sending Sweden to the loser's bracket. The maps to be played in the second final are somewhat surprising, gravelpit and dustbowl.

Sweden

Besides the upper bracket final against Finland, Sweden's route through both ESL and ETF2L Nations Cups has been victorious. In the last week's first final, Sweden had a surprise stored for the Finns. Playing with a new nickname Bberry was the well known Q3 player Fox, who was backing up Glufse as a scout. Fox played earlier for Kompaniet, but it has been some time since his last appearance in the TF2 scene. Paired with bybben from 4Kings, this makes one tough scout duo to beat.

Sweden's lineup will also include ryb as a demoman, sommie as a heavy/soldier, appe as a soldier and lezek as the medic.

Statement from Erik Karlsson // appe, Sweden

"It's always fun to play versus team Finland, and tonights game will be quite different since we choose cp_dustbowl. It will be a great game for players and spectators alike.

And for the record, I hate these cheesy statements :)"

Finland

Finland's first defeat in the two nations cups came against Sweden last week so I believe it's fair to say that the final is fought between the best two TF2 nations in Europe. The Finnish line-up for tonight's match isn't 100% certain yet, but most likely we will see Masiina and Darn as scouts, snap as a demoman and Agron as a medic. For soldiers, there are three choices: Moose, Haza and Punpu.

Statement from Juho Pättö // Moose , Finland

"Last week our game didn't go as planned. Sweden was able to top us in the normal control point maps, badlands and granary. We were a bit unlucky in the decider map with a couple of player disconnections, but I don't think that was what decided the game. Sweden was just better.

This week we have gravelpit and dustbowl as the maps. I was really surprised when I heard that Sweden picked dustbowl. That map is hardly ever played in clan matches. It will be interesting to see how it pans out though. I think we have decently good tactics ready for that map as well so we'll try our best not to let them surprise us for the second time."
