The Day has been an interesting one, with lots of work to do. It has juts got really good knowing Hamilton has now got 7 points over Massa in the F1!!! But I'm struggling to look happy about it due to the lack of sleep last night. God I'm grumpy when tired :(

The TF2 finals are on at the moment, and sounding quite interesting. As for me and Corin, it is almost time for a nice interview we have lined up. Details of that will appear soon. I will update this as well before we leave, that is if I manage to get out of the event with my laptop! I'm sure there'll be a lot of "NO ONE LEAVES THE BUILDING!!!" moments to come.

But that's it for now. I may head over for a chat with the CrackClan guys, see if we can get watch some more pevlic exercises taking place live.........yeah....

The CoD4 tournament is now over! With what must be called a great final, Dignitas have won it. It was a great game to watch, and improved now that they had blocked the window shining light directly onto the only projector! Oh and then there was TosspoT who was his usual humerous whitty self.

Hows the event gone as a whole though? Not bad I have to say. It could have done with a few more teams present to give some bigger games, but there still managed to be a few. Dignitas definitely deserved it, after playing brilliantly all tournament. Player of the tournament? I really don't know, most of them played well.

So whats next in terms of Cod4? There are loads of events coming up, and I hope to be at as many as possible. So for now, I will finish my CoD4 blog for the last time!

The day of the grand finals is here, but we have some big matches before that. The lower bracket final is Crack! versus TLR, and the upper bracket is 4 Kings versus TCM. I think it a strong possibility that whoever loses out of 4 Kings and TCM, they will make their way back to the grand final and we will see these teams clash twice. I have also seen some strong performances from Crack! so there is also a possibility they could pull something out of the hat, they certainly aren’t to be underestimated.

TLR with a different set of players than usual haven’t been packing their usual punch, and although time is running out they may have enough time to make it work and take home a top position.

A start of another lovely day! And I feel shit. But this is down to a number of things and for those I am going to have to back track (quite some way). The first major reason was the fact the CoD4 tournament ran late, not being helped by the fact it was interupted by the PCGS comedy.

Never mind the game, cocks.
I went to watch this with mixed expectations, but to find it wasn't that bad. A few cringe making moments, but it definitely wasn't terrible. Though it did show how bad my knowledge of retro games was.

Once we had got through the remaining CoD4 games of the night, and max had been driven home early feeling ill, it was finally a bit of free time! First I got shown how my arm wouldn't last very long against the vicious security dog sat just outside the venue, then I (along with 6 other gamers 1 of which was Corin), were subjected to what we could call a demonstration of great pelvic strength and control. If you would like more details then please contact someone from CrackClan.

Fiasco #2 was about to start. We all wanted to take our laptops out, rather than leave them lieing around on the desks. But nope, this was not allowed. Nothing was allowed out the building. After a few people fought for a good 30 minutes, we were finally ready to leave..... at 2:30 am.

The next thing I remember (tired and had a bit to drink) was being woken up, roasting!, in my hotel room, with Corin ringing me telling me to hurry the fuck up! At just after 8 am, I did think this was a bit excessive. Finally arriving down stairs I was met by Corin but no Max. According to Corin, Max had been shaking all night (thus keeping Corin awake most of the night) and went home with severe flu. Lets hope he improves soon.

Arriving at the event was even more irritating after waking up that early, to find the finals had been pushed back slightly, and there was only 1 team in the whole hall... I could still be in bed now!

I decided to enter myself into a team, the Hairy Cracks! This was certainly an interesting event, as we started playing against a Dignitas/Infused mix. This was an interesting game to say the least, loosing badly. Oh well time to play a team that don't even know how to record demos. This could actually be a fun game! As for the rest of the tournament, it seems to be running quite smoothly. Dignitas winning 13 nill, and then not much else happening.

I entered myself into a bit of a competition, chance to win some nice free stuff from the YoYo Tech stand. Unfortunately it all went horribly wrong, while trying to keep a bucket of sand held up for as long as possible. Not locking my arm out meant I ended up putting it down first! Disgrace!

Things are getting interesting now. 4 Kings vs. TLR and TCM vs. Crack! will be played at 17:00 BST, both games being played on Granary. This is the second round of the upper brackets and the results of these games will be much anticipated. How will TLR perform with their new line-up, and how will Crack! and 4 Kings play under pressure and without previous LAN experience?

The Call of Duty 4 tournament has had a few problems, mainly down to the fact some CoD 4 teams entered into the TF2 competition and now don't want to forfeit their money. After much discussions between far too many members of Multiplay, Cadred, and the two teams, they have delayed the CoD4 tournament until 8:00 PM tonight. The official seeds are about to appear, keep an eye on the front page.

Finally the group stages are over, and the tournament can really begin to kick into life. First round of double elimination sees the four big boys in this competition [4 Kings, Crack!, TCM, TLR] play off against the lesser know and lesser skilled teams here. After this first round we will see some big clashes between the top teams, and things will really start to heat up. I’m definitely looking forward to see how these guys hold up under pressure!

The CoD4 tournament has been delayed to try see if any of the Source teams are interested in playing. Signups are still open for it, and it looks like they are going to keep them over until all the group stages are complete for Source. Will this increase the number of signups? I don't know, but it is making my job providing coverage tiring thats for sure!

I think it's time to head over and play a bit on the random stands, especially as I am now going to be playing for the Crack Clan 2nd fun team (amazing I know!). Should be a good laugh though, a nice solid 40 FPS on 800x600 and everything on low. Oh wait, that is provided I find myself a mouse rather than having to use my touch pad!

Welcome to my first blog entry. So far the event started off slow but it's picking up now. London Mint have just arrived, and url said to me "he can feel it, this is the one they win". Based on recent form I wouldn't be surprised.

It's always nice seeing the same old faces, Reason, Salvo and of course xone. I've just done an interview with Farley which is elsewhere on the site, I almost found myself struggling for questions since I see him at almost every single LAN.

Elsewhere I'm extremely pleased with the coverage so far. Five people at one LAN is a huge progression for us, and I think the quality of the coverage shows that. I'd like to welcome our "new" Call of Duty 4 and Team Fortress 2 communties, in the future Cadred will truly be a multi gaming news site.

The rustlers stand next to me is wafting a tempting smell, but I must resist.

Until next time folks.

I'm still alive, the Rustlers hasn't done any damage (for now). Corin is still adamant he won't have one. I think it's just a matter of time though till he gives in. Especially as they are free and the other food on site costs a fortune!

I managed to have a chat with BlackMane (interview now up). The teams are also signing up. There looks like there is going to be a guest apperance from CS:S champions, Salvo. Still only 8 teams signuped though, guarantee money to everyone at least. I am also personally making a guest appearance for Crack Clans second team, Hairy Crack. Should be fun! May even win a bit of money who knows.

The tournament signups are almost complete. We have seen a few entries from teams you definitely wouldn't have expected to be playing those games. But oh well, there is money at stake! You may even see a Cadred team in one of the tournaments.

The Rustlers stand has also just opened, so its time to head over and try out a free burger. What they will be like I don't know, but they are food. And lets just say, I can't see them running out.

The tournament admins are currently working on getting all the teams signed up, a process that isn't made easier by half the participants here not being registered in the multiplay software, and therefore having no booking IDs.

I'm not sure how likely we are to stay on schedule, but theoretically Cadred should be doing the seeds after 11am and the matches ought to start at noon.

The dream team has arrived back from the hotel, all ready to start. With the hall now a lot busier (though still not full), it is starting to feel more LAN like. Reason, Dignitas and Salvo have all been spotted too! The exhibitors are underway now aswell, with the Left 4 Dead stand already packed! Its not even 10:00 AM yet!

Well it seems there has been some confusion here, PC Gamer told me that the venue would shut at 12, security staff were telling us we couldn't come back in from 23:25, but now Craig (wizzo) has cleared some stuff up. If you go out for a smoke or something, you can come back in, but if you go away for a longer period you won't be allowed back in. However, if you don't leave, the venue won't be shutting at all over night. How strange. Anyway, we'll be off to the hotel in a minute, and this is a cheap remark about cable ties. Inside joke, sorry!

I think we'll be heading off to the hotel soon for a reasonably early night, I've had time for some good chats with the PC Gamer deputy Editor Tim Edwards, and a fair few of the guys from Multiplay, and it looks like we'll start work on the seeds tomorrow morning at around 11am (Cadred is doing the official seedings for CSS, CoD4 and TF2). Until then we don't have a list of teams to give out, unfortunately.

I've actually just found out that a.) for some reason the venue is shutting at 12 (say PC Gamer) and b.) Despite this, the security guards are now (at 23:25) saying "if you go out you're not coming back in". Looks like we'll be going back fairly soon, then.

I soon found out that my original prediction of two top teams had increased (slightly) to 2 1/2 teams, with Infused now actually planning on taking part in the CoD4. Though it wasn't their full team in attendance, they were definitely planning on entering some sort of a team. Things were looking up! Especially after the news late last night that Fnatic were not going to be present at the event.

First impressions of the event were definitely different to what I expected. Remembering what the hall had looked like during i34 definitely made this look..... different. Check the photo galleries for some images. Generally it is no i34, but its not as bad as I first thought, it definitely looks like it will at least be some fun.

The prospect of a 5 hour plus journey ahead looked ominous, especially as I was venturing into unknown territory, the first LAN in PC Gamer history. Initial thoughts of the event from the week running up to it certainly looked ominous. A chance to do some preperation for the event soon came to a halt, after departing from Haymarket (5 min down the line) and the next few hours were taken up by 3 films, Rush Hour 3, and the two Fantastic Fours!

Finally I arrived at Leamington Spa to be met by a very healthy looking Corin and a recently coiffed James (aka Semajal). The hotel was definitely looking good too, but we soon had to leave that behind us and make our way to the venue itself with a newly arrived Max!
