The final of the CoD4 tournament is about to take place. I managed to catch up with Lighters from Reason to get his thoughts before the start of the game.
Right, you lost badly against Dignitas in the upperbracket final, how do you think you will do in the Grand Final, now you are on the stage?
We were under prepared in the first game and didn’t expect them to be as good. We’ll definitely improve. We know what’s at stake, it’s the final, This is the game that matters. We’ll step it up a notch.
Were you taken back by the performance Dignitas gave on Crash?
Didn’t expect them to be as well prepared, they were really good. We under estimated them.
Why have you chosen Crossfire as your map? Is it your good map or Dignitas’s week map?
We have played Crossfire before, and got a lot of set tactics on it. We just feel confident on it. We have also played some of the Dignitas guys on that map too before and beaten them, so we are confident.
If you are going to win the tournament you are going to have to beat Dignitas on Strike too. As this is their map, they obviously must feel confident on it, but how do you think you will do on it?
We are very confident, extremely. Last LAN event we played Dignitas on strike and knocked them out of the tournament. We’re hoping to do the same again. We are actually quite shocked they chose Strike.
Obviously you are expecting to win, but what do you think the scores are going to be?
It will definitely be a close game, a lot closer than the previous game. I think we will win Crossfire, 13-9/10 but Strike will be a lot closer, an extremely close game, might even go to Overtime.
