i35: Live Blog
@ i35 cod4 channel

This weekend at i35, DuRuS and Goodeh will be live from i35, and will be bringing you live updates of the event. We will keep track of the event in this blog, bringing you details of some of the things you wouldn't find in a normal article. Here is our live blog!

We will be updating this live blog as we go along, so you can keep up with what's going on, both at the event as a whole, and for each of the three main tournaments taking place here.

- Max "Goodeh" Silver
- Tom "DuRuS" Nevill

Good morning everyone! We are back after an eventful nights antics. With a reasonable 6-7 hour sleep under me, I'm not feeling too bad. But it could have been a lot worse.

Hello, we have a reservation for a twin room for 3 nights under the name Silver...... What do we get, 3 doubles for 1 night, brilliant. So after a while we manage to cancel 2 of them saying that we definitely did not book these. However, we ended up getting just a double room, as they had now ran out of twin rooms. So the prospect of sharing the night with Max was now looming on the horizon. Awesome.

But I'm fine now, the sheets aren't covered in blood, though there were a few scary moments as Max rolled over getting a bit too close to me. Thank god we have been "promised" a proper twin room tonight.

But we are now at the event, and waiting for the groups to start again very soon, with both CoD4 and CS:S underway. Remember, the CoD4 matches will start to have a stream from QuadV and so you can tune in and watch them all.

Well, this is a rather late blog entry. But it has been a busy and eventful day! I arrived here after travelling for 6 hours at around 3pm, to go straight into the CoD4 games. With the link between Multiplay and Cadred dead, they all had to be done manually.... well that was fun. But unlike Max who used an iframe (looked bad), I actually did them. 5 rounds worth of matches, tiring.

The matches themselves though, well after a few problems with teams not having the right number of players registered, Reason losing a player to passport control in Finland (arriving tomorrow), and a few teams not having full lineups (for 3 rounds!), we started on time. For the top teams it was a definite walk in the park, with only Sypher losing out to a non seeded team. EG looked good as did Dignitas, and the 4 man reason had no problems either. The day finished after 5 rounds, and Team EG were straight off to bed! They are dedicated.

This is when the night then got interesting! The haloween celebrations were.... eventful (video to come!), and my favourite bit was watching Dogbert from Dignitas heading up onto the stage to compete in a candy stuffing competition. On the screen (broadcasted live over QuadV), it had the "drinkaware.co.uk" sign up. What did Dogbert have to take up with him? A can of Strongbow! Legend! Then there was the dance off, where there was some scary dancing between a skeleton and an MPUK admin.... I'm scarred for life! as well as the Vodka Jelly to add to the situation.

After that the beer started to flow (still is), and I wondered around catching up with a few people I hadn't spoken to in a while. Wondering past the Dignitas lot, a small fight started off. When I say small, it did get quite nasty, but I did think the 7 security staff was a bit excessive. As for the people involved, well I'm not going to name names, but they are definitely regular Cadred readers thats for sure. And I think the security owe me a pint! They stormed past me sending my pint flying! I was gutted, but had to go buy a new one of course.

I doubt much more is going to happen tonight, even though some of the Source matches are still taking place. It is getting mighty warm in here now, but i dread to think what its like outside. Thank god I'm not camping! For the live blog, we will definitely try and do it a bit more regularly tomorrow, but until then, good night!

I have just got full confirmation that EG ARE definitely going to be attending i35. They will be in the TuP area so are not on the attendance list. They are definitely going though.
