Saturday

So... so much has happened, and yet, on paper, so little has happened. The games ought to be starting *really* soon, and though the intranet is back up, the fixtures are not currently on there.

The coach from Paris that was due to get here at 22:00 CET last night took over twice as long as expected, arriving somewhere between 2 and 3am. Luckily they were all able to get enough sleep due to a fairly late start time at this event - but you can read that in an interview with RegnaM that is soon to go up.

The only real thing of interest to talk about is the technical problems, which you can read about in the schedule article anyway, so I won't repeat myself... I have to confess I was sat in my hotel room late last night (or early this morning) with an ipod in-ear headphone in each ear, and another ipod headset inside my mouth, on either side, as it seems ipod headphones don't make the best spur-of-the-moment microphones, and that was the only way I could get Jay to understand me on Ventrilo. Pleasent. I might even upload a photo of that laterr. Corin out.

Friday

There hasn't been much to say so far this event, which I guess explains my... lack of saying stuff. A fair few teams have arrived, from my phone call with RegnaM I can tell he's either drunk or has devolved furthur, their bus (the official coach from Paris) should get here around midnight.

CSS groups have already gone up, but no fixtures are yet known, and CoD4 groups are not yet available. Had a nice dinner with Luke, the one other Englishman here (and an old friend), the French sure know how to make profitarols! Got an interview with Crack Clan about to go up, and tomorrow morning when all the teams are here we'll be able to go full steam ahead with coverage!

I was hoping to get at least this blog up last night, but my laptop was out of power, the venue's power was not ready for me (well, the event doesnt officially open until this afternoon), and while I did have a power point in my hotel room, the way it was situated against the wall I was unable to use my UK power adaptor, as the wire would have had to go through the wall, so... two meals later, and several long conversations with Marc "virp" Corban later, here I am, in the press box, still with Marc, typing this first, probably very dull, blog entry.

Some teams should be arriving later today while others may put it off until early tomorrow morning, we'll get some features up as soon as possible, as well as photos (which I have been asked not to take yet). Remember, groups will be announced tonight at 8pm GMT.
