EG are through to the finals of the of the CoD4 i35 tournament after beating Infused in the LowerBracket Consolodation final. There they will face Dignitas again. Match preview is also inside.

EG made hard work of the game, taking a 10 round lead at the start, before Infused were able to pull a come back with 7 rounds in a row. This was not enough for them though, as EG were able to force a few rounds out of Infused, and win the game in relatively comfortable fashion in the end.

The Grand Final

The Grand final, the game that will decide who walks away with the most prize money here at i35, is upon us. It is going to be between Dignitas and EG, with EG having to take Dignitas to 2 maps if they are going to win. The maps have yet to be decided for the game, but we can guarantee one map isn't going to be picked, Crossfire.

But what map will they play? And how will EG perform after their bad defeat to Dignitas in the UpperBracket Final. After the game, TosspoT managed to speak to Wise_Guy, who promised that the best EG team would turn out against Dignitas. "2 maps? - 2 maps!....... 13-11 in each? - OVERTIME!" is what he had to say to TosspoT too. I think were definitely in for an absolute cracker!

But who will win? The teams are currently getting ready on the stage, and I think EG look more relaxed about this. sat browsing news sites while Dignitas get ready ready. Danny has even put the glasses on, he is here to mean business! Dignitas are definitely on form after that last game, where they truly dominated on Crossfire. However, EG have yet to really show their true potential at i35. We have seen bits of it, especially just against Infused in a few of the earlier rounds, but they have yet to really take off. All I can guarantee, is we are in for a great game!

Update

The maps have been chosen for the game, and as I found out before hand (couldn't tell anyone!), EG's map is going to be VACANT. This came as a real shock to BlackMane who shouted out "you must be joking!". In return they picked a map that they know EG aren't that good on, Crossfire. This is going to make it very interesting, as we know how much the EU teams generally hate Vacant as a map, but then again, EG hate Crossfire... (so did Dignitas supposedly according to Mark, but oh well).
