A number of minutes ago it was announced that Roccat had picked up Danish side xoxo.

Earlier today I sat down, metaphorically, with Troels "eXce" Kierulff to talk about his team, and this move.

Hey Troels, can you start off just by reminding us all of the history of this team, where you came from and what you've been through?

Hey there Corin. We have been through a lot, but starting from scratch is where the old MYM line-up merged with the former Reason line-up, and we formed Magnitude right before LAN79, participated lan79 and lost to fnatic on 3 maps very close, the best game of my life actually. After that we went to dreamhack as magnitude and won.

For a while we thought it was all good in magnitude, but in the end we did not feel there was as much support as first promised, so we decided to leave and we have been in xoxo since the break from Magnitude. And now we can finally present a new organisation, a well known face in esports.

While this deal has been on the books for some time now, you did go through a period of uncertainty about what organisation might pick you up - how confident were you of finding a team who could offer you what you needed?

We have had loads of offers from various organisations, all good offers indeed but Roccat just seemed to match and take it to the next level which the other organisations could not.

I do not think we had any period of uncertainty, we were quite confident that an organisation would pick us up, and we are very proud to represent Roccat as our organisation.

And all this hype about who would pick us up in forums, people asking, etc. That was fun, since none of us actually told anyone about this before today.

You say Roccat were able to take the offer to the next level, what exactly are you getting out of this deal?

I’m not going into further details about our contract, since that is against code of conduct I put my signature to. It is however a very good deal and they will support us in every possible way.

Your only LAN attendance in recent months was your local event SLAP where you lost to mTw in the final, what events will you be attending in the future and how confident are you that you can regain the form you had earlier this year?

We will attend dreamhack this weekend for starters, and now with I-Series putting down their prize pot but keeping the price up for the tickets I do not think we will attend, also the Turn up and play pc's are located so bad at the event, but we will try to participate in every single LAN there is in Europe.

I’m confident we can regain our place in top3 again; I cannot see what should prevent us.

Are you just being modest or do you have difficulty seeing yourselves as being able to challenge Reason and Salvo any time soon?

I think we can give both Reason and Salvo a good game, and I actually think we can win the games against both of them, so I am quite confident about the whole situation.

That will be our goal next year, to beat both the former Salvo and Reason at LAN, and then stop the curse of being 2nd at LANs!

You've been discussing this deal with Roccat for over a month now, can you tell me how this deal first came about, and what's been taking so long?

Yea the deal with Roccat have been going on for some time now, and the start of it was when Roccat contacted me, saying they had an offer for us, since they wanted a css team, after that we actually decided that Roccat would be our new home, and all other organisations got declined.

The reason it has taken so long is that Roccat had (and have) loads of plans for us, so we just waited until they gave us a call saying that we are going public.
