Promod Version 4.21 Released
@ Scene news channel

With the battle for the dominant MOD still going strong, JUSZN has released a new version of Promod that he describes "as the DAMN killer". Version 4.20 is now released too.

Promod 4 was released a few weeks ago and was an update to Promod 3, the MOD used over the summer. Unlike DAMN it doesn't go as far with some things, but it does make some important changes. Version 4.1 has now been released, and it has changed not only the gun damages of the SMG's to "rebalance" them, but it has also done a lot of work on improving the maps themselves to make them clearer and allowing you to have more FPS on them.

Changelog Version 4.10

Grenade damage radius reduced by 10%
Improved map visibility
Removed forcing "FPS" dvar "r_smc_enable 0", smart shader cache is now optional
Backlot car bug & noise fixed
Game physics reduced
Overall 5-10% FPS increase
Every map less saturated
Promod version title's changed
SMG's have been re-balanced
AK74u increased damage at medium range
MP5 Sniping has been removed
Improved SMG hitbox

More details on these changes can be found in the changelog by downloading the file below.

Version 4.20

A lot is happening with Promod, and it is getting changed constantly. Now they have done a lot to the MOD and Carlisle has described it as pretty much done. The Promod menu has been redone, and has a lot of graphical options in it now to make it easier to customize it all.

Changelog Version 4.20

Improved voice menu enabling new features/functions

Promod Graphics toggleable (Guide on how to use properly below)
Fullbright toggle
FOV toggle
Saturation toggle
Texture filtering toggle
Lag issues resolved from 4.10
Can't plant during time-outs anymore
Fixed head bob after plant
Full integration into source code offering smoother gameplay
Few surprises for people who use naughty commands that can't be forced :P

These are all the major changes that are definitely going to be in. The other things still to do are either minor, are going to be optional, or will only be done after a vote. Below are three more parts, the "To Do list", what they are currently "Working on", and then a guide on the "Graphics Settings".

Update Version 4.21

There has been a small update to the MOD to fix a few small features. The changelog can be seen below and the file on Cadred has been updated.

No longer able to call timeouts in public mode

FIXED Headbob after plant

Various weapon file bug fixes

Lagg REMOVED when auto-climbing, changing weapons and dropping bomb

Request stats now fully functional

r_normalmap now optional/toggle

Quick menu "Cycle Blur" function added

Fixed 74u clip when adding silencer

All of these changes look really good, but again, we have the problem of which one is better? This or DAMN:EU. They both offer different things. DAMN:EU is still not finished yet, so we will be reserving judgement until it is. As for now, you can download it below, and we also ask if you can vote in the poll below too. Again, if you have no interest in this please do not vote, or if you insist on doing so, vote in the No Opinion choice.
