EPS UK: TOXIC storm past Vitriolic
@ ESL Pro Series UK season 1 CS:S channel

Fragmasters TOXIC have destroyed Vitriolic Gaming on the first map of the semi final stage match .

Pre Match

The match was highly anticipated for several reasons , first and foremost the grudge between Luke “KritikaL” Green and Hamza “X” Mahmood. This spilled over into a pre match interview where X called Green a “c***” and offered to “take it outside”.

Map One

Fragmasters, starting on the terrorist side, would take the crucial pistol round and the following two before Vitriolic would come back in the first buy round. This would be the peak of resistance from Vitriolic with Fragmasters abusing the cracks in their defence and simply out aiming them for the most part. A huge clutch by re1ease was one of the half highlights. It would seem X succumbed to the pressure of the stage and the moment by going without a kill for the first few rounds. The half finished 13-2.

Vitriolic would take the pistol round and the following two before TOXIC rallied to take the buy rounds. In the crucial fifth round X almost managed to pull off a crucial 1 on 3, getting the first two but failing to get the last. This would take the match to 15-5 and as the commentator said, “it’s basically over now”. Vitriolic would rally to take the next round on a semi buy but Fragmasters would reply back next round, with a superb deco round. Taking the win 16-6.

The next map is de_dust2.

Map Two

The second map would be de_dust2, with under dogs Vitriolic needing to pull out a win just to take it to a third map. They would get off to a flying start by taking the pistol round starting off on terrorist side. FM Toxic would come straight back rattling off six rounds in quick succession. A small fightback would ensue until Toxic started to pile on the pressure. FrankstaH would end the half using a pump action shotgun and the half would end 9-6 in Toxic’s favour.

Vitriolic never really looked as though they had what it would take to defeat the clear favourites here and the match ended 16-11, Toxic progress to the finals while Vitriolic are out of the competition and will have to console themselves with a third/fourth place playoff.
