Under dogs Veritas took heavy favourites Four Kings into a three match epic with Four Kings finally prevailing after a close match on de_nuke

Map One

The first map would be Tuscan with Four Kings losing the knife round and starting on terrorist. Veritas would win the pistol round and go on to ravage a disorganized Four Kings winning the first half 10-5. Four Kings would win the CT pistol but would still go on to lose the game 16-10.

Map Two

Morale looked down but a quick team huddle seemed to boost the team spirit and confidence before dust2. Four Kings looked a different team starting CT on dust2, winning the pistol and playing a completely different game to Tuscan. They’d close out CT 10-5 and close out a 16-8 win without any trouble.

Map Three

Nuke would be the deciding match and Four Kings would get off to a flyer, winning 9 rounds on the traditionally CT biased map. The win looked sealed at this point but a string of errors and strong play by Veritas saw them go from 11-4 up to tied at 12 apiece. Four Kings would pull out a deco win with a superb 4 man by Pez. The game would be closed out by Four Kings to end an epic Semi Final match.

We spoke to Pez of Four Kings after the game.

They were a lot tougher than we thought, they played really well and full credit to them. We both won each others chosen maps which was interesting, it has to make us rethink going into the final. The banter was good and I look forward to seeing them at future events. We’re going to win the final.

It was a good game but I think we should have still won it. We’ve been pretty strong the last few weeks but we’ve made silly mistakes at the wrong times. They took advantage of those and we paid the price. The next match against Vitriolic should be easy, easy money.
