EPS DE: Week 8
@ ESL Pro Series Germany channel

We cut in with EPS Germany just after half of the first season has passed, Week 8

Next to the current second season of the EPS in the United Kingdom, Germany started with their first season as well just a couple of weeks ago. The teams had been fighting to reach that status within the ESL structure for quite a while and were very pleased when the news hit, ESL deemed Call of Duty 4 EPS worthy, many teams thus signed up and out of all three could be viewed as the current top: KomaCrew, TBH.MSI and EnRo Griffins. From now on, I shall be giving you a weekly update about the runnings of the German teams and how they fare in the one-on-one battles they face. The prize purse outline can be seen below:

1. €2 500
2. €1 500
3. €800
4. €400

Each match offers €40 to either team, of which one will walk away with the full pot each time they clinch a victory. Draws will divide the €40 in two between both parties for each match, handing out an additional €4 800 across the 120 matches, spread over 15 match days.

Here are the delayed games that have still to be played from Week 7 on Sunday:

Here are Week 8's Matches with predictions on the right

With all of the top five teams avoiding each other in this week, it promises to most of all be a week of gathering points for the favourites. Especially the current top two cannot afford to let points slide away right now, with the encounter between KomaCrew and TBH.MSI just two weeks away. That match-up can and will most likely determine the outcome of the first season and before that, neither of them should see miss out on having the chance on deciding their fortunes on that night.

The top match of this week, simultaneously being covered by the German ESL TV casters tomorrow, is without a doubt n!faculty versus RAPTOR GAMING. The reasons for that being very clear, with both teams only having a difference of a mere two points in the tables currently, even though RAPTOR GAMING. still need to play their 7th week match versus nGize, a match of which the outcome could heavily play on the minds of this young German team, thus affecting their performance going into tomorrow's fight.

All in all, Week 8 does not promise too much for the upper tier teams and not too much should alter in the overall rankings, except if they were to underestimate their opponents and lose valuable points, with the first season of the German EPS nearing crunch time.
