The third week of the ESEA league sees the last two playdays of May.

After four fictures the way the regular season of the European ESEA Open league is going to pan out is getting more and more defined. The big names stand at the top of the ranking, with a dozen teams separated by only a victory.

Last week, there wasn't many upsets at all, with the only noticeable results being the large victory for Reason Gaming over japanesebirdcooking and the win of former Cyberlegends (now AIMAZING.be) over 30P Gaming in overtime.

The Danish team ROCCAT still leads the ranking with the best score difference, surprisingly followed by the English side anoxia, and then the Finnish zOo. These three teams are the only ones with four wins out of four matches played.

A long list of teams with three wins and a loss follow; names such as Thermaltake, fnatic, uber G33KZ, DSRack, japanesebirdcooking, 30P Gaming, with Reason and H2k to be probably added after their matches of the fourth playday against raided and Stofftiere Online respectively.

Three Thermaltake players are on the top of individual stats for last week's map, de_dust2, with Maximilian "m4x" Barnewitz leading the ranking with 70 frags. Overall, the German player is second behind the hits 4 kids player Mark "LESMARK" Lesmark, who has 118 frags compared to m4x's 117.

Tom "tomHJH" Horth of anoxia has the highest FPR (average frags per round), with Mikko "migcou" Virtanen (afterlife) and Troels "eXce" Kierulff following.

The Match of the Week features the first and the third team of the standings, both with a 4-0-0 record. However, the Danes have a better score difference, +47, against the +26 of the Finns.
Over the past weeks, zOo have faced Reason Gaming and Strafeandwin on de_inferno, winning 16-14 and 16-8, while ROCCAT on the same map have played against TwistedPlay and again Strafeandwin, ending the matches 16-7 and 16-5 respectively.

On de_dust2, both teams had a relatively easy route: the Finnish side won against Stofftiere Online (16-3) and Dreamaker (16-13), while ROCCAT had a default win after the folding of Crack Clan and won 16-5 against klad00shed.

zOo recently beat fnatic in the Loser Bracket of the Clanbase EuroCup after losing against the Swedish H2k in the Winner Bracket.On the other hand, ROCCAT are playing only in the ESEA league so this will be their first official test against a team at their level.
