ESEA Open Weeks 6.1 + 6.2
@ ESEA channel

The regular season of the ESEA Open Division is almost at the end.

With the sixth week coming up there are only two weeks left to be played.
Last week we saw some interesting results, such as the first loss of the Danish team ROCCAT, against their rivals Reason Gaming (13-16 was the score).

Even more interesting would probably be the result of the other match that Reason played, where they surprisingly lost 12-16 to anoxia, and another unexpected result was the victory of AfterTrouble over MoD 16-11.
In the second set of fixtures we also saw the Danish derby fnatic against ROCCAT, won by the latters with the score of 16-10.

Unfortuntaly not every team has played all their matches, so as you may read this the situation could be completely different.
However, at the top of the standings Reason Gaming have missed a really great chance to reach the first place, due to their loss against anoxia. They are actually third, while zOo and ROCCAT lead the ranking with nine wins (ten for zOo as they've already played one of the matches of this week) and one defeat.

DSRack and H2k hold their position (4th and 5th), while 30P Gaming go up from the 19th to the 6th place. AIMAZING, Team Unity, MoD and AfterTrouble follow, closing the top 10. Fnatic drops eight positions (from 6th to 14th), but they haven't played two matches in the last weeks against 30P Gaming and DSRack.

As usual, we'll have now a look at the individual standings.
As we write, the overall top fragger is Janre "wfl" Saat from AfterTrouble, with 238 frags. His team mate Vaino "SeRuMM" Korkka stand in the third position with 214, and in the second place there's Sami "SAMITSKY" Kuivala of team zOo with 227.

In the FPR standings (average Frags Per Round), the French player Vincent "EMSTQD" Cervoni (Dreamaker) slightly improved his score: last week it was 0.972 and now is 0.978. On the contrary Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovacs dropped 0.016 points from his previous score, 0.957. Jean-Francois "fircrow" Trehel from Dreamaker stand in the third position with 0.879.

Since I had lot of doubts about which match to pick as Match of the Week, I've chosen both the options.
Reason Gaming vs fnatic is particulary interesting for a reason, that is the recent unexpected loss of the Eastern European team against anoxia 12-16, which has added lot of fuel to the "Ventrilo.exe" drama.

In the previous match Reason beat ROCCAT, reaching the first place in the standings, just to lose it in the above mentioned game against anoxia.

Fnatic has still to play two matches of the last week, actually they're 15th with 5 wins and 3 losses, which came against H2k (19-21), Dreamzone (14-16) and ROCCAT (10-16).

It will be interesting to see how Reason players will react after all the rumours circulating about them, was the loss against anoxia just a careless mistake?

We have said everything we could about ROCCAT in the past weeks, since they featured quite many times in the Match of the Week. Now they're still at the top of the standings but in one of the last matches they've lost against Reason Gaming, and that was their first loss as far as I can remember since their comeback from inactivity.

The Swedish team H2k (formerly known as BooYa), without considering HJULAFTON, is one the best two Swedish teams at the moment with 30P Gaming.
In the ClanBase EuroCup, after the loss against RedLine 14-16 in the Winner Bracket semifinals, they were knocked out of the tournament by zOo, while in the ESEA they stand in the fifth position with seven wins and three losses.

In the first match of the league they lost 9-16 against 30P, the other losses came from the matches against Reason Gaming and zOo, while noticeable victories are the ones against fnatic and AfterTrouble.
