Team CoolerMaster have won the CoD4 Premiership with relative ease

Last night 5 hours behind schedule we saw the final of the CoD4 Premiership take place, with Team Dignitas facing off against Team CoolerMaster. TCM came out on top and won the cup, while at the same time in the 3rd/4th place play off, Reason weren't able to beat ButtonBashers.

The games started almost as soon as the second semi final had finished, with Team CoolerMaster probably having the advantage after an emphatic win against Reason Gaming. They knew they had the ability to beat dignitas and so they went in with their heads high and ready to go. With the teams now in separate rooms they were definitely able to start getting a lot more pumped up about everything.

The first map Strike took place and the teams exchanged rounds left right and centre. The snipers usually play a huge part on that map and this was certainly the case, with SoCLoN and robyEE getting some super kills, at least after SoCLoN had changed his monitor to one that didn't blur all the time. Once he was back he was able to start pulling his team together. They looked like they were properly calling now, and properly getting fired up for the game.

It came down to a 11-12 score difference in favour of TCM. With about 10 seconds on the clock left, and only robyEE left on the defence, he managed to pull off a simply brilliant shot on SoCLoN while under fire from mark to stop the plant going in, and was then able to hide from mark for long enough. TosspoT and ReDeYe were going absolutely mental, claiming that was the shot of the tournament by a long way. This won them the map and TCM were all ready to take it in a 2nd map.

The 2nd map was Crash, something that dignitas hadn't been playing on very well since Blackmane left the team. They lost badly to ButtonBashers earlier in the day, and so their confidence was probably not brilliant. It didn't help when they lost the easier defensive side 8-4! However, they were able to start pulling it back, and at one stay everyone thought they were going to win it. But TCM pulled through and were able to get the final kills to win the map and win their first major event under this new lineup.

The ButtonBashers game wasn't as exciting, with Reason taking them to overtime in the first map, but after losing that they were just not able to pull it together. I think the photo gallery we have just put up sums up their reaction perfectly. They were absolutely gutted. As for TCM, they were up with the clouds! They finally won.
