ESEA Open Weeks 7.1 + 7.2
@ ESEA channel

The day after the midsummer marks the beginning of the second-last week of the ESEA regular season.

The sixth week of the season has still many games to be played left, but from the ones already played the match fnatic vs AIMAZING surely deserves a mention, with the Belgians overcoming their opponents 16-10.

The Danish team experienced the second loss in the same week, after the victory of Reason Gaming against them in the first Match of the Week.

In the other Match of the Week, the Swedish team H2k wasn't able to cause the ROCCAT guys any troubles as they lost 7-16.

The situation at the top of the standings is the same of the last week, with ROCCAT and zOo with one loss, followed by Reason with two.

After them team AIMAZING stands fourth, with DSRack, H2k, 2nd Sign (former redpoint) and MoD.

After the two losses fnatic drops five positions, standing 19th in the rankings. They had five defeats in the last five matches, which is the worst team streak if we don't consider the teams that have left the league. Now they really need to win all their matches if they want to qualify for the playoffs.

The Match of the Week features two Scandinavian teams, the Danish MoD and the Swedish H2k.

H2k stand sixth, with 8 wins and 4 losses, while MoD are eighth, but they haven't played the second match of the sixth week so they could eventually reach the Swedes if they win against anoxia.

MoD might be concerned as while they have lost matches against zOo and Reason Gaming, they have also against lower teams such as Team Unity and AfterTrouble.

At the moment H2k and MoD are two strong teams but not enough to compete with top teams such as Reason, zOo and ROCCAT, or at least this os what the results would suggest.

It will be interesting then to see which one of the two teams is closer to the top European sides.
