EPS DE: EnRo Griffins WIN
@ ESL Pro Series Germany channel

EnRo Griffins beat TBH.MSI to win the EPS DE Season 14

In a final that went to tripple overtime in the final map, the Alienware UKeSA Cup Winners, EnRo Griffins, were able to knock out TBH.MSI, the tournament favourites. This was the game that most expected, and it was going to be a massive game at that. But no one expected it to get this close.

The game finished with EnRo Griffins coming out on top, but only just. There was no ways anyone could have predicted a scoreline like this. The best way to chose you this is through the individual map scores:

As you can see, it was a very very close game, but the underdogs came out on top and showed why they are a side to be reckoned with.

I went and spoke to Plotsch from the team to get his view on how the game went:

Thanks. The success was very important for us, because it is he best-known league in Germany and it was our goal to win the 1st EPS Season, because this is something special. I am really proud in what way we won the finals. We played a great match and we have to praise Maurice 'jEtLeCk' Bobon, he played a unbelievable match.

Team Manager of TBH Bcrbo said the following:

We have shown throughout the main season that we were the team to beat going into the Playoffs and after a difficult match versus Prediction we proved we belonged there and had to face the EnRo Griffins team, by many regarded as the third best and therefore unsurprising participant of the finals. We were confident going into this match and after having gotten the first map, we felt this would be over quickly. How wrong we were, crash did not seem to work for us at all and we needed to forget that quickly, which we tried to but seemingly failed to do.

Strike then turned into a behemoth of a thriller and after a 10:5 halftime score of EnRo Griffings, I felt things were looking bleak, however my boys put up a serious fight and crawled back into a tie at 11:11, after which the exciting round switching began and the first milestone was reached after getting the overtime. The rounds then went back and forth, shown by the fact that each OT was closed out by a 2:1 and 1:2 score, then in the third one, EnRo managed to come out on top and took the win. This OT could have gone either way and one can only say, what a match.

All in all we were pleased with the way we played the season, but are not pleased by making only second, we felt that more was possible and this golden cup is definitely what we will be aiming for next time around.
