Holland Removed From ENC
@ ESL Nations Championship channel

It has been announced today that the Dutch national team has been kicked from the ESL nations championship.

The players who have cost Holland their place in the championships are Milan 'Xertion' Veeger and Richard 'brains' de Kievit. Both of these had incomplete Aequitas files, 'brains' also had "Illegal client settings severely impacting fair play" in their match and rematch against Austria. This led to an unacceptable number of penalty points and therefore to disqualification. All of Netherlands' matches, given penalty points and wildcards used by their opponents will be nullified.

Team captain Mark 'AirRaid' Koks had the following to say.

I'm going to try and explain why Xertion and brains got penalty points. I have to say that they are all fair according to the rules, its just too bad the ENC Admins were hardly available when we wanted to ask them anything, It's also a shame that Austria will do anything for a default win.

Basically, in our first game against them xertion didn't realize we were playing in the ESL nations cup, he thought we were playing in clanbase lol, so he didn't run Aequitas. Secondly, brains was bunny-hopping. In xertions case I think it's pretty sad to protest over a missing Aequitas file, especially as they didn't think he was cheating, he would happily have uploaded his POV demo's but they didn't even ask for them, they just seen the missed Aequitas as an excuse for a rematch or default win.

With brains, he had mouse-wheel bound to jump in his cfg. I knew about this and was ok with it, but I didn't want him bunny-hopping all around the map because it can't be done with space bar, so it's unfair. He told me he unbound mouse-wheel in-game assuming Aequitas would log it, however Aequitas doesn't log any console commands, so it flagged him as soon as he started up CS:S.

Nice rules..

In our second game against them after we were forced into a rematch brains found out that Aequitas hadn't started properly, and wasn't logging anything. Too bad this was in the 2nd map on the 2nd overtime. I can't say much about that except that its stupid on his part, especially knowing that Austria will do anything for a default win.
