Scandinavian organisation Northwave Gaming Association are a name that have been known to support TF2 for quite a while, but little has been seen of the brand since the former squad folded in March.

The organisation has been publicly searching for a new team since and although they had received many applications none stood up to the potential that the organisation were looking for, until now. Swedish side Big Deal are now moving under the Northwave banner.

Nwave owner Tjet made the following comment on the organisations website:

TF2 have been my favourite game since I started nwave and it feels very good to finally be back with a team in the scene. Over the past months we had many applications for the position as our TF2 team but none of them seemed interesting enough. Altough Big Deal plays in Division 4 we see the potential this team has. I’m sure they will fit right into our organisation and do as we aim - to become bigger and better in the future.

Team leader Voff added

We are happy to have found Northwave and are looking forward for a hopefully successful relationship. We feel that we have a very stable player base and with Northwave now supporting us we will just keep on improving.

The new Nwave lineup consists of:

Marjasin - scout
Voff - demoman
Blomman - medic
elpedro - soldier/heavy
gravedigger - soldier
hekka - soldier
Tocsix - scout/sniper
