Nations cup competitions have been held by both ESL and ETF2L last year, with the later known to be intending to host another tournament and soon to release details. However it has been some time since we have seen national teams duke it out for the European crown

The community has been crying out to see the popular competition and cheer on their home nations with the subject being a hot topic on the ETF2L forums of late, and the TF2 admins of EnemyDown have now stepped up to throw their hat in the ring and give it a go. The competition has been described as a 'World Cup style event' with 16 teams being placed into 4 groups, followed by the top 2 teams of each group going into a single elimination knockout phase.

A prize pot has yet to be confirmed for the competition but admins have posted on the tournament details page with plans to have cash or hardware prizes for the winners and possibly runner up.

Signups are now open and teams can be registered for the tournament already and close on the 24th of August, with the event beginning on the 31st.
