UKeSA Finals MVP Awards Announced
@ UKeSA Season 1 CS:S channel

The votes are finally in and we can now announce the winners of the UKeSA Finals MVP Awards for both Call of Duty 4 and Counter-Strike: Source.

If we turn our attentions first of all to COD4 it is fair to say that there was a clear-cut victor after all your votes were compiled. TCM's Robin "robyYe" Swaters was instrumental in driving his team to victory and pulled off one of the sniper shots of the tournament. For his efforts he received nearly half the votes.

Results for COD4 were as follows:

robyEE: 48% (155 votes)
Twist: 17% (56 votes)
mark: 7% (21 votes)
davy: 11% (34 votes)
SoCLoN: 17% (56 votes)

By contrast CS:S produced one of the closest MVP competitions the site has ever seen, at one point only three percent separating four of the five candidates. As the votes continued to come in though two players broke away from the pack and it looked for a while that Dan "Re1ease" Mullan was going to win despite only playing one game at the competition, with it resulting in defeat. Then a spate of votes for his close competitor, Marek ".PhP" Kadek came in to give him victory for this award, matching Reason Gaming's victory of the competition overall.

The CS:S results were:

Marek ".PhP" Kádek - Reason Gaming: 31% (261 votes)
Adam "bazy" Kaplár - Reason Gaming: 15% (123 votes)
Thomas “beta” Hanna - Crack Clan: 7% (56 votes)
Jim "Mx" Smale - Crack Clan: 18% (155 votes)
Dan "Re1ease" Mullan - Dignitas: 29% (243 votes)

Congratulations to both players and their respective organisations and thanks to all those who participated in the voting process.
