Wow! What a game. What a brilliant game I have just witnessed. Dignitas vs ButtonBashers in the Lowerbracket final.

The game was played on Crash, a map that suits both sides with their aggressive playstyle. Dignitas started off on attack, usually the harder side, and they immediately lost the first few rounds. ButtonBashers were using their nades well and were incredibly disciplined. But dignitas were able to get a few early rounds on the board as well, after qwerty ran away as the timer was ticking out.

L-KING was playing brilliantly at the start, moving up the scoreboard quickly. He was using the AK47 well, along with his nades. Dignitas just looked dead; they couldn’t do anything. They were 7-3 down, and needed to get some rounds on the board.

Just before half time, Mark was in a 1on1 clutch, and in a simply brilliant move, jumped and double tapped the ButtonBashers player to kill him and win the round. The half finished at 7-5 to ButtonBashers. This was when I came downstairs and started watching it from the players perspective. It was simply brilliant. The players were all fired up, they all really wanted it. BlackMane especially.

This time he wasn’t racist as such, but he was still throwing the insults back and forth. "I'm not losing to the f*ing Irish Man" [duffer] along with the usual "you’re s*" comments.

The second half started, with ButtonBashers getting the first 3 rounds wrong, to take them to a 10-5 lead. This was the moment for the machine to turn it on. Raz flicked a button and single handidly pulled dignitas back into the game. He got 2 4mans, and then a 3 man all in consecutive rounds. Along with SoCLoN now sniping, this dignitas team looked strong.

At 10 all, ButtonBashers called a timeout to pull themselves together. And it seemed to work, as they got the next round, with L-King moving past his 30 bomb. Duffer also had a good round, getting 2 early frags on A to open it up. BlackMane stated to rage, having a go at his teammates. It seemed to work, as dignitas stormed the next round to pull it all level, with SoCLoN destroying qwerty. He got quite angry, and couldn’t calm himself down even with the input of his girl friend attached to his arm.

At 11 all, dignitas made a big push to get the next round, and it paid off. BlackMane played brilliantly in that round, getting 3 kills on A with his AK47. The final round came, and like always it was too close for comfort. 3on3, 3on2, 2on2, 2on1, only Davy left. Dignitas do it! Dignitas have won the LowerBracket final and go on to play Reason in the consolidation final.
